Why do these pumped up young Argie footballers care so much about the Falklands. A place 300 miles from Argentina, a place with nothing of note on it, a place that has never belonged to Argentina.

There are 3500 residents on The Falkland Islands, it’s costing around £70 million a year to maintain our military presence there, there is nothing to protect. Sovereignty will go out the window Politicians will soon be calculating the cost per head to maintain it and will offer homes in the U.K. for the citizens like they did when they handed Hong Kong back to the Chinese.
Yes oil and gas reserves but none of the major players are interested in developing it possibly thinking we might hand it back to Argentina.
