Giving those who run Iran (not the Iranian people) a nuclear capability would be like giving a baby an hand grenade to play with.

We are only taking Trumps word Iran were again rebuilding a nuclear capability, you have a short memory Snowy remember Iraq and the weapons of mass destruction, non existent. This is not about destroying Irans nuclear capability and regime change, he doesn’t give a f**k about Iranian citizens, he has already said he has no love for Muslims.its about Trumps ego. One in four Americans don’t support Trumps actions another smoke screen to cover up his involvement with Epstein and the files.

Yes the Americans will not be the most welcome in these countries now, well done Trump and Israel.

Why get involved, we have enough problems with asylum seekers from Iran, they will be a few more boatloads arriving, Trump slapping tariffs on everyone, why should we do him any favours ?

I strongly suspect the Israelis/Americans have asked these relatively friendly Arab states to keep out of the conflict in order to avoid the mayhem that Iran is trying to foment by firing missiles indiscriminately.

The Israelis have a very good intelligence network and are highly likely to share this intelligence with the US who are their number one ally. The Israelis have a pretty good idea of what the Iranians are building and what they are up to in general. Israeli intelligence was the reason that the Iranian leadership were 'terminated'. The Israelis knew precisely where thet were so they could be unalived.

The Israeli intelligence was so good that they didn't know Hamas was going to attack them in October 2024!

The attack was made using very basic weaponry and a case of jumping over the border, causing mayhem and legging is back sharpish, maybe the Israeli’s thought that while such a thing is possible so they wouldn’t try it because of the retribution….now I wonder why they did it when they knew what the outcome would be…unless they wanted it to happen that way. I wonder why…?

I've given up trying to understand the mentality of countries in the Middle East. Just keep em all at arms length.

Good idea. …pity we can’t tow them to the South Pole region, they’d be that busy keeping warm they’d have little time for owt else…they won’t be able to cause too much trouble with a snowball fight…although maybe not, knowing them.

Even Starmer said the security services have prevented 20 attacks by Iranian sponsored terrorists in the UK over a period of the last few months. Allowing them to continue to develop nukes, sponsor and support the Houthis, Hamad, Hezbollah, etc would be utter stupidity.

yes. conflict for them started before and continued after that state was created. more or less close to be on a permanent war footing. some they start and others they have to defend.

Some races are very resilient, in Vietnam the Vietnamese hid in the jungle and in tunnels, in Afghanistan they just headed for the hills and hid in caves, both ended in defeat for The States, when are The Americans going to realise you can not put these people down by bombing them. Israel tried it with Gaza virtually flattened the place but Hamas and Hezbollah keep reforming and bounce back.

It's worth reading Prisoners of Geography and The Power of Geography by Tim Marshall - should be critical reading for all politicians and the snowflakes of Gen Z. He warns about Iran - and how they (like the Afghans) will never be beaten. And his writings about the Saheel, South America and our pop-gun army are frightening.

BREAKING: 3 of the 4 big Gulf countries (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, and Qatar) are discussing withdrawing from US and other investments as the toll from the war with Iran mounts.

Details Include:

1. "Budget stains" are reportedly mounting due to reduced income from energy, shipping, and tourism
2. Countries could reassess investment commitments to US
3. The move would be viewed as a "precautionary measure"
4. Moves that jeopardize US investments could "pressure" President Trump
Over $2 trillion in US investment appears to be at risk.

Could maybe reconsider - I could reconsider cod or haddock for tea tonight but will probably have sausage and mash.

We are involved, Starmer I’d doing a balancing act…even now he’s crumbling and getting drawn in further, but it was unavoidable…if policy is to be decided by the left wing of the Labour Party we are in the crap.

And who would you replace him and his party Snowy, your constantly criticising the current government but never come up with any credible suggestions on how or what to replace them with ?

Can you name any policies of Reform which you favour, most have been discounted as unfundable more so the one to reintroduce the 2 cap child benefit to cut the price of a pint, yeh great idea. One of his other policies is to means test the State Pension so all those who saved into a private pension could lose their State Pension. Farage is a lone voice in Parliament well that’s when he attends similar his constituents very rarely catch sight of him in Clacton.
