...the game proved some usual problems were still there, but a lot of the game impressed me.

Most of all Dimi (who should have MOM) - two penalty saves and half a dozen full stretch dives to keep us in the game.

However, bad points...:
*Matty Robson was bloody awful tonight. Didn`t seem committed and his passes were poor. I don`t think he won a tackle all night. Don`t mean to rip him, but he wasn`t good enough for tonight.
*Ali Gibb was too slow. Not fit.
*Joel Porter too tired, still not at full fitness.
*Free-kicks are still shite - a mixture of pulling it back or across only to get closed down straight away or, in one case, kicking the ball 2 yards into their defender`s feet.
*Foley was extremely quick but their huge defence closed him down a lot. He`s talented, and I think they should play him more often towards the end. Needs to figure out offside traps though.

Great game, very proud to be there; top atmosphere. Hopefully that`ll push us. Or is it that we rise to the big and lower to the poor?

Nice to see a few positives from a match report.

I was listeneing to Cleveland last night and got a share of Pools and darlo .....remember when they signed Joachim and the general consesus on here was dismissive and negative? ... well on the evidence so far and the goals scored column, he wasn't a bad signing after all.

Who spooned their penalty over the bar? I couldn't make it out as it was at the other end, and their announcer was very poor.

There was just one: Hartlepool.

There seemed a few more to me but I always overestimate. The commentators on Radio Humberside (who thought it clever to refer to Dimi as the Red Chilli Pepper, how rib ticklingly funny eh??) said about 100 as well. Probably the most biased commentary I have ever heard. (In case you're wondering yes I did go, but I didn't stay for the extra time, I hadn't been home since the previous Thursday).
