I’ll give it ten games as I always do before commenting, I like to give everyone a chance.
However…….this truly has to be the last season of what appears to be playing at running a football club and grab this season by the balls.
This stagnation has went on for far too long, I’ve had enough of it.
No more chopping managers when a bad patch comes unless they have ‘Hartley Syndrome’.
Be prepared to spend money on new players if needed, not loanees or cut n shuts who never got a contract in the summer and come recommended by their Mam.
The fans have played their part, time to reward their efforts…Good enough is no longer good enough …I want better.
Sometimes I see the fans as a man standing in a bucket trying to pull themselves up by the handle …they’re doing their bit, but the club and team need to need to help them as well.
This season will be a watershed because we can no longer just sit on our hands and accept the mantra’s handed down to us. :angry-tappingfoot:

good chance though you or someone else will be saying the same in 12 months time. we have taken the drug of pools too much and too often to break free from it. we have had longer periods in our history when things never changed for the better even if we still had football league status and a defeat back then was no worse than a defeat next season by teams who are playing at their highest level when we are at our lowest.

I can do nothing but be a bystander to the ‘car crash’.
But, there’s no way I would walk away….. because I have nowhere else to go, …..but I can stop being a bystander and criticise, which is my only option now …unless I win the lottery.

I am going to stick my neck out and say now we will be promoted this season. I think the manager knows exactly what it needs even though we still not rushing out to sign a few more quality players. If Mancini / Campbell / ManiD & Doddsy stay fit its there to be got. We will have to bring a good keeper in first then add to the squad as we go along. I have looked at every other clubs main goal threats and only Barnet look close to how good our very scary front 3 will be. I will put my tin hat on in anticipation and hopefully survive the rocks coming my way in the thousands. Please don't take my opinion to heart it's just my opinion. And no Kev I am not drunk and not on any other stuff either.

He's had a lot of injuries over the last couple years Tshimanga but if he's fit he will definitely score goals but I'd still rather have Mani!

If it happened its going to be loan because Peterborough want £300,000. Tishmangoooo knows how to score but must be the laziest striker around. They are also after McCallum from Eastleigh who is reputed to be on £4000 a week sctatchinghead

Even if Sarfend signed one of these two I still feel we have the better attack. We will hammer a few sides this season particularly away from home.

Despite the disgraceful treatment of Phillips, at first glance Sarll seems to talk sense. He wants big bruisers who play direct. That in my view is the way out of this division. Remember Sutton the season before last or was the the one before that… no matter. They turned up with 11 seven footers who kicked us to death and won easily.

For years we have complained about a lack of steel in Pools teams. This fella seems to be trying to put that right and complimenting the good bits we have with a few guys who like inflicting GBH

Sign this Billy Sass Davies good goal he scored yesterday and would be competition for Parkes and Waterfall.
If you are going to sign Adam Smith get him or whoever signed and give them rather than Dixon longer time playing in next 3 friendlies. Also a striker /winger.

nothing to do with the shields game but i,m more confident of us doing something good this season. last season was all about finishing in a decent mid table position and finally getting rid of everything hartley caused. i,ll join the doom mongers if we fail to make the play offs unless we are badly hit by injuries to the wrong players and sarll thinks the whole world is against him like askey did.

very true Snowy very true - in the same boat as you mate !

ill even give them 10 very bad opening games - as we know its a long season and no matter how good you start the finish line always has a different story - If we keep amongst the pack which we really should do with the team we have then some fine tweaking and good use of the loan market to help us should see us finish strong and hopefully with the same manager in charge.

Now that the sale to the new consortium of fans has finally been completed, we are looking forward to a more relaxing season. Having the Club pay its bills on time and just having a team who can compete with others in the NL, is all we want and hope for. What will be will be, regarding the end of season position.

Looking forward to coming back to VP, relatively soon after our last visit. We had a great time in the Corner Flag Club with your fans before the last match and will be returning there. Our train should be arriving relatively early, what time does the Corner Flag Club open?

Good luck for the season ahead and hope that we can both soon get back to the EFL again.

I believe that Pools will be off to a flying start as per last season but injuries and a small squad will take its toll.
Trying to imitate top clubs with playing out from the back and trying to keep control of the ball is not the way out of the NL. Many fans do not like long ball tactics but keeping defenders under pressure can create mistakes leading to goals rather than playing for a sequence of great passes. We are a non league club and trying to pretend we are something better will not get us out of this league!

Cheers Shrimper. I believe the corner flag opens 11am on matchdays. Really pleased you finally got your club back from Ronald Rat. You are a proper football club like us and I wish you every success apart from playing us. I made friends with a few of your lads over 10 years back and we still meet up when we play each other. On the bad news side Mancini our superb midfielder is fully recovered from a long injury and will destroy you once again. Have a safe trip enjoy the corner flag piss up and forget the 3 points but good luck for the rest of season.

the goals are also at the end of the pitch and not at the side. teams that will have success are the ones who play the game in the last 30 yards of th opposition half and not sideways in their own. have we got a long throw in expert as other clubs seem to have who get success out of it even though it might be a bit boring to watch.
