Looking like our travelling fans are going to be a bit subdued for tonight's game..

Southgate got the job because he’s the kind of bloke the selection committee would probably have chosen as a sensible son in law….not going to cause any trouble and discreet and presentable…a bit like his style of play.

one of the reasons i could not car less who wins in the end. always wonder who they,d pick and what they want at the end of the day. if they employed a manager who got a side to win the euro and then go on to win the world cup they,d ditch him on the spot if something came out that he liked the lasses, a pint and held views that are considered right wing nowadays but not woke. thing is most football fans would love him.

Doesn’t appear to much interest on here about Englands victory last night although the front pages are full of it, headline on Sky New as well.

actually looking at houses and passing cars there does not seem that much interest away from the bunker. is it lack of interest or a fear to show a st.georges cross. should have given palestine a wild card to enter a team to give more an interest in the thing.

anybody had the pleasure of watching turkey and georgia yesterday. did it by accident as the first few minutes saw tackles flying in and both teams trying to attack so i stuck with it. was what football was all about. drama, good goals, goal saving tackles and blocks with the woodwork having a deciding factor on the result. one thing for sure is england and denmark will be the total opposite where its back to walking football and static passing sideways. if we could get games at the vic guarenteed like that next season with pools doing a turkey season tickets would be all sold now including one with my name on it.

The big question is if "own goal" becomes Scotlands top scorer?

Only saw the last 15 minutes had more excitement packed in that than the dull england performance. Full blooded game getting stuck in with no fear of losing. We actually had a few games like that when askey first arrived.

surely you mean phillips and not askew. the fear of never making mistakes due to all the medias around causes this safety first approach we see in football. any single mistake in a game is highlighted now as if its the only thing that player did in the game. with that in mind you can understand players going into their shells and managers who see safety trumping expansive attacking football.

Portugal will get slapped down against first decent side they meet , absolutely wide open when teams come at them, I’d fancy England to beat them comfortably

I said Germany at the start but no team with the exception of Spain have showed anything England should be worried about

We had a spell when we went for it under askey, swinon game springs to mind and one or two other games. Not sure we went for anything under Phillips, the tactics at woking live on tele were pretty much the standout memory,.

Dunno about the that. The Woking game was the only draw out of 4 wins from 5 in his first full games in charge. Was our best spell of the season apart from the August when we had Mancini and Dodds fit and firing.

To the tune of " fodens on fire " ....Southgate's a wanker Southgate 's a wanker Southgate's a wanker without clue.. Southgate 's a wanker Southgate's a wanker without a clue... Southgate 's a wanker Southgate's a wanker without a clue!!! Never thought I would see so many top quality players lose so much confidence within two games of this tournament. Trent should not come close to a " midfield " appearance ever again for England and that is not his fault its the clown to blame. Bellingham/ Foden / Saka / Kane / Rice / Stones all out of confidence already!!! Palmer & Gordon not given a chance even as subs total fooooking joke. Then Linacre total woke twat BBC cock licker. I hope we get knocked out so the so called manager & team get to feel the total embarrassment we are feeling as England fans. banghead rakxe Please don't tell me we are still unbeaten and are almost guaranteed a place in the next round Or we can still win the tournament....I don’t care I am unbelievably embarrassed by this clown who is totally unfit or unable to quide this fantastic squad to a trophy a mission that would be accomplished by a half decent manager or I dare say even her indoors :angry-screaming:

Too many asked to play a different game than they play for their clubs. Looked legless from the start, didn't Kal Phillips come back from the last tournament massively overweight and Pep was quite critical of the set up as he dropped him from 1st team training. F*cking holiday camp rather than a football tournament for a lot of them I suspect.
Southgate has been promoted to a position way over his managerial and coaching skill level.

I watched Spain v Italy and comparing the pace and skill on view with what England demonstrated was like watching a National League game followed by Premier League. England really should not be in the fookin tournament. I am not blaming the players, the person responsible for the tactics is to blame. It has been obvious for quite some time that Southgate is tactically inept. Obviously England will get out of the group but after that they'll on the plane pretty damn quick.

Drove back to see the match and got back for the second half…..and got back to see the international equivalent of Hartley produce unadulterated crap.
Tedious, lethargic, embarrassing tosh…by so called players who looked as though they had met for the first time when they lined up for the National anthem.

Lost interest after the England game so watched 5 minutes of Spain/Italy game then flicked over and watched a programme about building JCB diggers.
Really interesting. :P

It’s the way of the world now…I just want the opinions of players who played at this level…it’s a bit patronising for women who watch it, like saying we have a sub section for you ladies.
If the wife’s anything to go by she reads while it’s on, most women really aren’t that interested from my experience.

didn,t watch it as i was getting ready to go on bingo calling duties but this type of thing seems to be getting worse and not better. once you got international mens players talking about international football and not blokes who have played for the likes of pools and darlo. the whole thing is tokanism and the women who watch and are interested could not give a flying one about having women spouting. what next, have a survey and find a couple of trannies who play in the brighton sunday league to join em.

Tell you what that Pedri lad is some player takes the best bits of Foden and Bellingham combined, if they don’t win it this year then with Gavi fit alongside him and Yamal 2 years older they will take some stopping in 2026

100% agree they were a class above. Only concern is they struggled to score the goals despite playing the Italians off the park. Wondering if a well drilled defensive team might beat them with resolute defence and a set piece goal. I think they are the best team in the tournament but the best team doesn't always win.

F*cking holiday camp rather than a football tournament for a lot of them I suspect.
Southgate has been promoted to a position way over his managerial and coaching skill level.

Spot on PTID...And Southgate is being protected by the F.A. and ALL the media wankers because he is yet another " woke " pushing soldier banghead Please don't get me started on that twat Linacre rakxe

100% agree they were a class above. Only concern is they struggled to score the goals despite playing the Italians off the park. Wondering if a well drilled defensive team might beat them with resolute defence and a set piece goal. I think they are the best team in the tournament but the best team doesn't always win.

always remember the greeks when they won it. something that should keep england fans and southgate interested. the pundit i,m sure will paint it as some master class performance when england bore the rest to death.

until last night VAR seemed to be working well. then we get two english refs involved and they brought it back into disrepute.
