No doubt Southgate was pleased with the performance. I bet he's already practicuing his excuses for when England screw up yet again in a major tournament.

Daft friendly result means jackshit.
The real deal starts on fathers day.
Reckon we will win it if we end the penaltys voodoo!

Hope you’ll have the same attitude when Pools play theirs then.

True, but let’s hope we don’t play as shite as those overpaid headless chickens….one of the lads pointed out even ‘Ruby’ was yawning, a great coincidence but you never know…, I was watching by myself in the end and considering my own sanity wanting Iceland to win in extra time.

question really is whats the bloody point. thought the players were supposed to be totally worn out by the record number of games they have played.

I watched Monty Don on his gardening programme.
More entertaining.

To me personally it does mean something, NO PLAN B.

Just looked like the City Utd final.
Solid defensive barrier and not a clue how to breach it.
Trying the exact same method over and over and expecting a different outcome.

Hence No Plan B

No player on the eve of a major tournament is going to be putting themselves about for the fear of injury and missing out.

exactly thats why i said it was pointless. could have got as much from the game by playing it as a behind closed door friendly but would have had no money from it.

I feel sorry for the poor people who are daft enough to spend money on tickets to watch these games. I don't even know what the score was but can tell by the other posts it must've been a one worth missing. Have zero interest in the overpaid primadonnas.

just another reason to walk away from the game if it bothers fans on what players actually earn nowadays right down to pools level. its fans who are being short changed and definetly not the players.
