This station really winds me up. It is supposed to serve the whole of the community not just a part of it. It is obviously run from boro by boro fans - playing repeats of boro 'action' from a previous game when there is a live match being played by a local team?? Whats that all about? rage

We should get together and make our objections known....

Well the problem with that is there is even less coverage on the other channels, and they have adverts on all the time. Looks like I might have to invest in a digital radio at some point.

The problem with that is that digital radio was no better last night. They only use the extra options when Boro are playing.

Arthur Pickering is the best Pools commentator I've heard, tells it like it is, both on air and as a scribe in the local rag.

That boro twat Mark Page who used to work for Radio Tees before moving to Radio 1 now works for Radio Tees formerly Radio Cleveland but not the same as Radio Tees. So Radio Tees is not BBC Tees, Radio Tees is Radio TFM. And BBC Cleveland is radio Tees which is not TFM. None of these are Radio 1 or Radio 2 come to that although I believe that there is a tie in between Radio Tees and Metro Radio but not BBC Tees.

Clear ?

he was on the team sheet for Aldershot away match, 82/83. They spelt it Mark Cage, though. Some prankster had rang up Aldershot with the team sheet which they promptly sent off to the printers, no questions asked. rolfl rolfl
Also on the team sheet were Arthur Pickering, Vince Barker and Reg Smythe. One or two actual players were mentioned as well.

Possibly, but I believe Radio Cleveland has now renamed itself Radio Tees.

How exactly do highlights work on the radio anyway?

you get to hear them screaming while they are coming in their pants, commentating on a Boro throw-in inside the opponents' half.

It is true, replays on the radio are comical to the edge of farcical. At the time it's at least informative but later on its just a man shouting.

Particularly annoying was when I was driving up to the Pool on a matchday and when I got in range of BBC Boro I'd tune in to see if there was any late news, team selections etc and I'd ALWAYS get some shouty shite from last weeks Boro game or David bloody Hodgson moaning about silly mistakes and the last piece in his jigsaw after a 1-0 home loss to Torquay, followed by one sentence like 'Oh and Hartlepool are at home to Benfica.....we'll be covering Boro Under 13's at High Hesleden.'
