It has been suggested to me (I must say in the vaguest of vague manner) that Mr Walter Mitty Shithead is connected to the Musgrave chap who was interested in Pools before Raj took over and the interest has been rekindled to the extent that investment (no details given) has been made, with the proviso that Mr Walter Mitty Shithead is given a seat on the board to keep an eye on that investment.
Could there be any mileage in this????
Anybody else heard anything???

Can't see any outsider being allowed to come to the board with a motive to negotiate a deal to get past 49%.
A bit of letting the fans know what going on wudent go amiss.
Not one of these fans who says it's got jackshit to do with us and use your own money to buy the club.

Yes him. I seem to remember Raj once saying that he would welcome investment if a full takeover wasn't forthcoming. Partners if you like.
There could be a situation where after all of the debt has been paid (including his) Raj would then be in a position to pass on the club or at least negotiate a deal with a debt free club on offer.
I appreciate it's pie in the sky and perhaps even wishful thinking but it is a scenario, if real, that could take us forward.
Although I am not convinced as yet that there is even a remote possibility of it happening as such, I think it would be wise not to dismiss it out of hand.

sadx Don’t talk like that Kev, sounds like he’s here for this life and the next.
The fans need a rep outside the club ….. not on the board, but speaking to the media…a whole new set up to put the fans voice and their opinions out in the open.
It’s needed because no one else has done anything, just a thought.

Aye i can’t mention him as I got banned for it, might want to write some of it against the taxman, I can’t see Singh accepting outside funding unless it’s a ‘freebie’.. Maybe have some loose change available after buying his private jet, mansions etc.

If he took control and invested in pools it would certainly look good for him after the criticism he and Houchen has faced. A few million for him is chicken feed

It's possible because Chrissy is a sports fan and in the past supported town boxers etc. He is not a great lover of football but fully understands the taxation system and would probably invest for that reason alone. I don't believe he would ever have any interest in running the club or being on the board but its very possible he would invest because he does love his town. He has a big interest in buying up tanks from the military and reselling them back with big profits when needed for another war. He is an extremely busy man who I very much doubt has the spare time available to put into a football club. One of his best mates is Houchen the teesside major who's uncle Keith played for Pools in the past. During those times young Houchen used to attend games at the Vic to watch his uncle play, he has a soft spot for Pools even now so it's well possible he has persuaded Chrissy to invest. sctatchinghead

You didn't get banned for mentioning Musgrave at all. You got banned because you were on a crusade and were asked to desist fom using the bunker for that crusade but you kept on about it. You apologised and the ban was lifted.
You can mention anybody you like and you will only be asked to be careful if we think there is any chance the bunker could be compromised. That protects you and your fellow members. Let the MSM do the crusading, they have the resources to combat possible litigation, we have no resources.

there does seem to be enough behind it for this to be a plausible rumour - or is someone using that same scenario and putting things together to make up a rumour. However it would be very much welcomed and needed. I would imagine Houchen would be wanting to be face of it if it did become true. Somewhere he would like to get in that he is saving Hartlepool United or something along those lines, im sure you know what i mean !

Money coming from a local businessman is what we need and not some outsider with the wrong intentions or not as much cash as we would of hoped from some dreamer consortium... we know this man has money, and alot of it at that !

Raj' best bet is to side with someone like this - get Mussys man on board at a high level and push this club back to where it needs / should be!

Ill ask about see if my man has hard anything ! ???

Thanks mr Eiphos, any light you can shine on this would be appreciated.
Not time to get excited yet but we could do with something positive to chew over for a change.

I have asked the question and will let the board know if i hear of anything ?

has this arisen on the other Hartlepool United supporters fan board ? usually they have a guy on their too that gets some info before most and has a good connection with the club ?

it would certainly start the summer off in the right context for us that for sure ! wouldnt it be nice for a change to welcome a summer transfer window with exciting expensive players and do a Stockport !

I think calling Walter Mitty Shithead the Chairman's choice to represent the fans just might have caused enough hoo hah to smoke screen this alleged activity. It was done so blatantly it has all the hallmarks of a deliberate red herring. Then we were told of the hastily arranged meeting of the board to withdraw an offer by Raj and virtually within minutes the new man was announced. Then the observation by people that Walter Mitty Shithead was rejoicing in the decision with his comments on Whats App. It was allegedly a board decision but Raj got the flak. I know for a fact that Walter Mitty Shithead isn't a Sweeney fan and now he also has gone. It all points to suggest that Walter Mitty Shithead has more clout than a so called fan's rep should have. Tie all that in with this alleged new revelation and it all starts to make sense.
Of course it could all just be co incidental but there is a time line fairly evident or so it would appear. Is there more to it than meets the eye???
I suppose we'll know soon enough.
It is interesting though.

This reads like people making 2+2 = 5 to me

I think Walter Mitty Shithead is more than likely what he appears to be, Rajs token appointment to try and show he is taking fans feedback when in reality he’s just a puppet who isn’t going to say a cross word to his master

Well, it's the time of the silly season before any signings are made when 'interesting' get full mileage on the Bunker, so fair enough.

My problem with the whole idea is that public-spirited benefactors who steer clear of publicity aren't unheard of, but Musgrave doesn't sound remotely the type.

given some of the negative press hes had etc - this would certainly sugar coat any wrong doings in the public eye. Even more so to us Pools fans. I really couldnt care what the man has done or is doing, if he is willing to somehow support Raj and give some money to the club how ever that may be then im all for it ! it could well be a sponsorship package ? naming rights to the ground.... there is many a way to skin a cat with football clubs being integral in your taxation benefits so to speak !

very interesting facts when you look at the timeline like that tbh - and totally unexpected as im sure many on here didnt expect Walter Mitty Shithead to get that role on the board of directors ? maybe a ambassador role or another role within say management of the club ?

Why does Musgrave get chauffeured by an NES employee to the Riverside Stadium if he's not a lover of football.

If he reads the local press he will have seen his name mentioned, wasn’t his daughter a model of some sort and converted the Knights shop on Church Square into a bar called Knights ?

He loves sport in general but football is not his number one sporting passion. At least it wasn't back in the days I worked for him on contracts 1998 till 2010. He likes to mingle in and around everything business related and maybe that's why he gets a lift to the Riverside. sctatchinghead He was only interested in Pools because he was asked to help out by that Belcher council bloke. I do not recall him going to Pools in the time I knew him but its possible he may have. Trust me being chauffeured around won't get him excited, he was sending his roller and driver down to Gatwick Airport to pick up senior McDonalds management for years from approx 1995 until 2010 ish.

This goes above and beyond the Bunker Rumour Police…CI5 have been called in to spice the rumour up…it also includes a performing seal, several chorus girls and a bi-polar taxidermist.

No chance of this in my view. I remember from before Raj came in he said he didn’t particularly like football and didn’t go to Pools. Only spoke to the council because he was after a cut price land deal. The debt also put him off, so he’s not going to be lumping in for Raj’s retirement fund.

Hope the following quote from Chrissy helps you understand  This was said during the time he looked at the possibility of taking over the club. And I quote: " I know very little about the game of football and I am not a football enthusiast, but I do understand the importance of the club to the town as it has been an integral part of the community for over 100 years. " He also said and I quote: " It would be a sad day for Hartlepool if such a vital asset was lost. No one wants to see that happen and I have been impressed with the spirit of the supporters and wider public in their efforts to save the cub. " Like I said dykey he is not big on football but loves the town.

No chance of this in my view. I remember from before Raj came in he said he didn’t particularly like football and didn’t go to Pools. Only spoke to the council because he was after a cut price land deal. The debt also put him off, so he’s not going to be lumping in for Raj’s retirement fund.

Money talks.
You’d be surprised how many people would be happy to embrace anyone with enough money….you watch.
But I suspect it’s a close season rumour.
I’m prepared to be surprised though.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if these new directors have brought investment into the club for a seat at the table.
Walter Mitty Shithead is either bigging himself up with his claim of being involved in the new manager appointment or the new title is a smokescreen and he's actively involved in the direction the club is going imo.

They're patently a cheaply deployed blame-shield for Raj. I think we know who still pulls the strings.

if we have to wait for somebody who is mad on football and went to pools for investment we might have to wait a very long time. by investment i mean a sum big enough to make a difference from one person.

That is the sensible approach. Until we actually find out if this "rumour" has anything in it, I prefer to keep an open mind. One day, hopefully he says wringing his hands, something like this will happen.

Quite a lot of people have been discussing these new appointments along the lines of "when are they going to open up on their roles and reveal what they have in mind?"
Others are questioning the lack of information on their roles, especially the so called fan's rep business.
By now they could have made statements on the OS or even given interviews.
But, so far, nothing.
Personally I think that is strange and so ask the question why.
Maybe it is because they don't want questions on a fan's rep role they have no remit on or have no intention of fulfilling.
There are plenty of signs that all is not what it is painted to be.
Yes my mind is working overtime and I hope that something positive could be happening, but the more I look into it and "explore" the sequence of events and co incidences the more curious I get.
I made a note to myself that somebody will come on and categorically state that it is all nonsense and lo and behold, Porter and Boyd turns up.
There are people who think P and B is John Walter Mitty Shithead. No one has ever given me proof of that so I dismissed it until that proof is forthcoming.
Now read between the lines folks.
My first thoughts were it's a load of bollocks but the more I thought about it the more curious I became, so I decided to put it to you buggers.
We'll see.

They're patently a cheaply deployed blame-shield for Raj. I think we know who still pulls the strings.

I cant believe we are even discussing it, its a title given so this fan rep can be blamed while raj pulls the strings, the guy didnt wanna even sell so he is hardly likely to give some fan off the street any sort of control in the club. The same fans who have not once come out and blamed raj for anything now wanna know what this fan rep is doing, why to blame him for things?

So say the two "fans" who blame Raj for everything, No need for any other fans to peddle Raj hate on a regular basis as you two are adequately covering the subject for the rest of us.
You can't believe we're discussing it, whilst at the same time joining in the discussion. Hypocrasy at it's finest. Its close season Billy, thats what happens.
Come out of the doom and gloom mate, it's summertime.

So predictable.

I was going to reply to your fisherman friend but knew you would turn up and so waited to kill two birds with one stone.
Now there'a thought.......don't tempt me.

Miserable bastards the pair of ye. therethere
