Recent champions in this league have basically bought their way out, Stockport were in a rut for years till the money wagon arrived.
Supposing there was a spending limit on players fees and wage bills would promotion rely more on motivational managers and coaches to achieve promotion?
Just a daft thought.

a great idea until by a miracle pools get into the big money. however in the league there is some financial fair play that come into it but there seems to be ways round it. however non league is becoming who has the biggest cheque book and not the biggest crowds to give a team an edge. if we got regular 5,000 gates at the vic i doubt we,d be happy with a new age outfit with only a 1,000 beating us for promotion even though it would suit the raj haters. its not really a fair game of football but one between how much cash an owner is willing or able to throw at it down in non league where the authorities seem happy for this to carry on.

I think there is a ruling on how the money is put into the club donations for signings do not count as revenue or come into the fair play monies.

Well then we need donations not loans. Right let's concentrate on that.
How do we go about that. Maybe the Trust can organise a campaign to get businesses and individuals in the Town and as far reaching as possible to pledge an amount (like the model of say Children in Need.) Then, depending on how much is available we take the next step.
Will that work, personally I doubt it but maybe someone can come up with a way to make it work.
If a massive amount is pledged we can offer it to the club to be spent on team building only, or we can offer to buy Raj out and let the trust run the place or or or or. So let's work on the idea and the subsequent ors and see what happens.
Trust members please take the idea to your board and gauge the commitment they are prepared to give it.

Ye we need to shut up and enjoy the worst ever time to be a Poolie.
Vincent Barker would of been destroyed for this latest catastrophe at Pools.
But Sing in some sadistic way is worshipped.
What a fucked up system SM is.

The winning formula is spend big and hire the right manager. That’s why Stockport went all out for Challinor after he got us up.

Funny to recall that some on here were looking forward to Chally getting the push when Stockport made an indifferent start to the season.

Unfortunately money talks in this league. We have some of the best gates, but one of the lowest playing budgets so until Raj gets his hands in his pockets or sells us to someone who will we,ll be stuck here for a long time.

He's a good proven manager. You have to be to get all the promotions on his cv. Performed a minor miracle at Pools.
Fully expecting him to become a championship manager.
That's respect from me.
Maybe get misinterpretated for ink to a part of the anatomy.

You’re right, we’re like the car with four punctures at once…how’s it gonna be sorted first….?

what should happen...and this is where the FA need to take a leaf out of the Government/Newcastle Council is.. alot like what happened when the Sheikh Mansour took over at City - as part of the deal he had to bring regeneration into the area and other investments, i am also sure they gave the local council a massive lumper too. Saudis are on track to do the same up the Toon with a 3 Billion pound package (not sure hows its spent or invested but still). Anyways my point being is that any rich football Prem Club as part of the deal should filter said cash down the non league football ladder within that local area (for us would be the North East). Imagine us getting 1 million to be able to spend on players - staff - facilities etc. Would make such a difference and in the grand scheme of things for them Saudis its an absolute drop in the ocean !
