Last season I believe McCunnie was on the recieving end of the boo boys at Dunfermeline, yesterday he went towards the CK stand to take a throw & someone shouted "Well played McCunnie keep it up" & a handful of others applauded him.
The lad was grinning from ear to ear,it was my favourite moment,I reckon we have a very happy player now & will reap the benefit.
Well done both player and fans clappp

He looks a decent player to me. A bit of pace, not afraid to get stuck in and he can pass the ball too. A bargain methinks!

Got to agree, he looked more than competent yesterday. Nothing flash, just good soliid, intelligent play.

Fair play to the lad, looks like he may enjoy his time with us.

McCunnie is the type of player every club should want to have on their books. He does nothing flash just gets on with his job which he does very well. Sometime you might forget that he is there until he puts in an excellent challenge or plays a superb ball to the forwards.

Lord Barron of Millhouse had some nice things to say about him yesterday, mostly along the lines of what you've said here. 'Unfussed' 'intelligent' 'measured' were some words he used.

Mickey's talking like a manager already!!

i've only seen the Donny match so far but the delight on his face at the end of that game proved to me his desire. He was giving it the 'come on' with with his fists. It may seem like nothing but remembering this was only his 3rd game, it really showed how important the 3 pts were to him. His actions spoke a thousand words so to speak.

the lad has shown he can cross a decent ball as well, whether standing still or on the run.

He may well make a half decent manager one day (IMHO)

Brilliant player, quite obvious to everybody the lad is normally a midfielder as he likes to play and is good at it. Hope he keeps it up.

I had a chat with Jamie when he did his first training day with pools. He asked me what the fans her are like.

I said that they can forgive a lot of things but they will not stand for anyone who will not give their all for the club. If you try your best then you will not have a problem... Jamie looked at me and said... Good

Make of it what you will

I like the lad and think we have a "Good One Here"

I completely agree with you Frank. I think he has played well in the games I have seen this season and think he will get even better.

and with all respect (sic) to Micky Barron, it's great to know that the right back will control/pass/cross the ball accurately more than 70% of the time (in McCunnie's case it's about 95%)

But can he land a ball on Eifion Williams's shooting foot from 25 yards?

he can land one on Antwi's head from forty yards on the run.
He cut a "pearler" back on Saturday on the run from the corner flag, the last player I can remember doing that regularly was Brian Honour!!!! The header was saved, but the way it came in was, to be brutally honest, not something Micky would have conjured up.

It would have to be some kick seeing as how Hartlepool is 175 miles from Wrexham.

I didn't really have an opinion of him after the Donny game but I must say for the first 20 minutes again Oldham he was my man of the match.

He had the same huge grin on his face when he had a throw in for the Mill House side. I was over the moon. Really like him and think he's gonna be a great asset to the club.

Keep it up lad. clappp

When someone from the Mill House threw him the ball it bounced on the edge of the wall and flew back into the crowd. McCunnie's grin got even bigger! He certainly seems to be enjoying himself. None of this would matter too much if he wasn't cutting it on the field but on first impressions he looks the business. Very happy with this signing.

Yeah, I saw that. Was really happy for him. I see what you mean about him performng on the pitch I think his confidence is growing with every game.

I've always been worried about the right back spot, especially with Barron's injuries in recent seasons. First we signed Ross who turned out to a kunt. Then Williams had a hot and cold start (but at least he was already).

And now it's all sorted. We've got Jamie McCunnie and he is brilliant and a top character. I hope he stays with us forever. He has been faultless in the last two games, so faultless that he's been my man of the match both times (although Monky gave him a run for his money last week).

Don't worry I'm not going to sound the death knell for the lad and start stalking him... BUT he does look the business a class act with charisma! Darren Williams not fit to tie Jamie Mc's boot laces!

Keep it going young McCunnie

Great to hear that the ex-victim of the boo boys is gaining in confidence and improving with every game. Perhaps a bit more encouragement from the terraces for Matty and he would improve every game. I don't think any player has ever improved by being constantly barracked by his own supporters.

McCunnie is the best of the new signings, by a distance !
(although I've not actually seen Elliott yet)
