Came home find the wife had got all her Easter stuff out…a special leafless tree with dangly things on and other fluffy bunny bit’s and pieces…… it’s like Xmas decorations out again….. all from Germany since the 80’s.
Anyone else do this?

I like easter as it feels like a new beginning but I hate Christmas it's just commercialized crap.

better to stop calling it christmas but the festival of retail. that would keep the majority happy because thats what it is more or less starting in august which is the starting period of it.

My missus does an Easter display. Hollow decorated eggs, small easter chicks etc. Did when the kids were little and cant seem to get out of the habit.

Here in the Midlands they work Good Friday and then have off Easter Monday and the Tuesday.

Going back I think it was because of the car industry.

Heathens - Good Friday is the second most Christian Day in the calendar.

same in west yorkshire as well. came up for a good friday match either last season or the one before and forgot everything was closed with a longer queue at verrels than pools would get for tickets. they actually call it easter tuesday by some around my way.
