It looks like the new manager syndrome has come and gone and we aren't exactly safe yet and knowing the good old Pools of old they will take it to the wire. I can only see a defeat coming.

Over to youse.

they are having a poor season being lower than us in the league. just who will go sick this week before the game i wonder. can our fokkers overcome the spitfires. doubt it. 3-2 to them with dixon recalled for the next game.

We really need to pick up something from these next two games, it's perfectly likely we could lose both, if so we would be right back in a relegation battle, if we won one of them I would be happy, Gateshead have a lot to play for, apart from looking to reverse that defeat by us at the Vic. Can't see us not conceding at Eastleigh. I could be positive but regrettably this is Pools.

No doubt the clean sheet team of last week (baring no new injuries) will be on the field for this one. Just Hope Lacey has a good game at RB and we see Dickenson be more crucial infront of goal as he should of at least had 2 go in last week. Hes better than this level and im hoping he shows it sooner rather than later ! Mani D is due a goal - Cooke im hoping has a better game and with Grey being back i would like to think we will make really good game of it as we still aint out the woods yet !
im going for a 2-2 with us getting the late dramatic equaliser !

Just hope Lacey is nowhere near the team, if we play the same team as started v Southend it wil show up the managements lack of imagination
I am expect a couple of changes and at least a point

i know its a bit of a JA move sticking with some thing that kind of worked but i feel KP will too given we need the points.
Agyemang also has to be brought on sooner should we not have the game where we want it come half time - also in a more attacking position.

I think Grey being back will be a massive bonus and also hoping that takes Cooper out of the side as hes utter poo

It's a long trip down to Hampshire and an even longer one returning with no points!
Eastleigh are the sort of NL team that must be brushed aside by any team seaking promotion so it will be a good measure of how far we need to progress.
Rochdale are not a great side but returned with a 4-1 win last Saturday so we should be capable of a 2-1 win. However it is Pools we are discussing!

1-1 but to be honest this looks like our best opportunity of securing three points within the next four games. The bottom sides with the exception of Oxford have been fighting for their lives for several weeks whilst we have been treading water, readily dropping points from winnable games. Make no mistake KP will need to get his players fired up for the forthcoming challenges against teams at both ends of the table. We will know by All Fools Day what KP and the players are capable of.

I forgot they have the league top scorer - odd for a team sitting 18th to possess a man on that many goals. Also our old pal Maguire who if i remember popped a nice shot in from a free kick when they played us up here.
Right in what your saying though... this is a side we should be taking care of given they are on a bad run (but this is Pools yeh). It also is one we need to take points from because again like others have said i dont think April will be a healthy month in terms of getting points on the board !

Well according to you they will be above us come saturday evening.
And according to me closer to the drop, Which some have buried they heads in the sand to.

Hope we are both wrong, But its only hope.

it is getting to the point when players suddenly hit a bit of form before their contracts are up to try to sway the manager in their favour. got a feeling cooke might have one of his occasional really good games.

This should be the Theory. But last week's lack ov effort showed that most are already on the beach before they find part time employment in the :animals-dogrun: n Duck Divisions.

cannot say there was no lack of effort last week. it was just the running out of any real ideas in the last third of the pitch that cost us 2 points.

Eastleigh playing in blue, Hartlepool playing in teal blue. I love our away strip but if we weren’t wearing white shorts I’d be struggling to see who’s who.

And Grey just scored after a nice build up down the left!

1-0 to Pools.
The Solent commentators know all the Pools player's names and are very knowlegeable.

Great to have our noses in front but the ghost of Woking still haunts me. We must not try to defend the 1-0 and end up drawing or losing. Keep playing our game.

bit scrappy even before the rain. is it a massive pitch as we seem to have more room than usual out wide. should be ok if the second half is the same as the first/

Eastleigh's best player so far Tom Crawford, what an awful first half from him, keep it up Pools.

didn,t want to mention that as i do not want to sound too negative just yet, but you are spot on. his worst 45 minutes of the season so far.

the lads having a really good season and that started before KP arrived. getting to be the number 1 player we want to see instead of just a sub and an average one at that. imagine what he,ll be like when he scores his first hat trick.

He has had a decent season but more consistent and more average goals a game under KP.

How KP gets the team playing in the second half is a measure of his managing skills for me. Pools should press on and not let the game become one of two halves!

grey was always too weak but seems to have really come on physically this year

Lacey doing his best but not a full back , few times the team didnt pass to him or he didnt show o overlap so all going thru Ferguson
