You are avoiding the issue, because even after pointing out the activities of the former Labour MP you brush it brusquely aside and then try to point out out most sex pests are Tory’s MP’s …astounding …. When you played hide and seek as a kid did you just put your hands over your eyes and think that because you can’t see no one, no one else can see you?
What’s your leaders view on this….?

Hill was a minor politician nobody had ever heard off, probably not even in Hartlepool, it would not sell newspapers, it was never going to make headlines, btw most sex pests were Tories going back to the days of rent boys in the Gentlemen Clubs.
Sexual harassment nowadays can mean even touching a female, we live in a woke world.nowadays
No idea why you are so critical of the Labour Party, are you ok with how the country has been run since 2010 or have you got your I am all right Jack hat on again ?

You really have totally missed the point…… that was a classic word salad and now your waffling and trying to fob off sexual harassment as nothing of any consequence….. banghead

In days gone by sexual harassment was ignored, I am not saying it was right, Hill was convicted, do you want him hung, drawn and quartered ? As I said it wasn’t in the MSM as who ever bothers what occurs in Hartlepool that far flung ‘village’ in the N.E. only famous for hanging a monkey allegedly, the last time Hartlepool made the headlines was when H’Angus was elected as the mayor.
As I said you need to get this distinct hatred out of your head with anything or anyone associated with Labour.

I’ll make it simple for you.
You have attacked Mortimer since the day she was elected.
Yet something as bad as what our ex Labour MP committed and not a word of disgust/anger expressed by the same people who would slag Mortimer off at the drop of a hat.
The best you can do is bluster and hope it goes away. It won’t.

think its ever worse than that. get a feeling anyone could get a knock on the door from the boys in high vis even if you never touched them on their private parts but tried to chat em up or even put an arm round their shoulder in what might only be in friendship.

There is a disused shop in Whitby Street with a placard in the window that says,

No one saw Mick…ever…but it didn’t seem to bother anyone, or Wrighty. or Mandelson etc ad nauseum……but they were Labour…. Now if the Tory, LibDem or even Reform candidate won they’d have got the same treatment regardless of Party.
It was soooo obvious it was painful to watch.
I give my vote to the best candidate, regardless of Party….if one stands.

I think we will have a good few to pick from. With having Tice who is the leader of the Reform party it will attract the likes of the Monster Raving Loony Party, Greens etc along with the other main parties.
How about someone standing for the Poolie Bunker party?
Yes ok there is about as much change as a monkey getting voted in. :?

Reform will get votes…..but not enough as per usual.
The Tory’s will be unceremoniously cast out into the Wilderness….hope it’s not North Gare for my sake.
Labour will win ….but I’m no fan of Brash after he jumped ship from the Party and returned when the Akers Belcher’s were exorcised.
There’ll be no accusation of Reform splitting the vote because they ‘ll probably be able to claim the Tory’s are splitting the vote in their reduced circumstances.
We live in tediously boring times.

It will be close in Hartlepool between Tice and Brash, Tice because 70% of the town voted Brexit, Brash maybe not as he is a bit of an unknown in the town so that could cost him votes.
Mortimer got elected of the party she was a member of but will lose in similar circumstances albeit like all the other MPs have done nought for the town only coming out for the occasional photo shoot.

In all fairness the Tories dropped a bollock by not selecting a local candidate because they were on a roll.
Starmer dropped a massive bollock by apparently ignoring the local Labour Party bringing in canvassers in from outside and the massively idiotic choice as candidate was one of those who organised the closure of A&E and other hospital services .
You couldn’t have made a dumber choice…..he compounded it by basing himself in Durham city.
As for Mortimer doing nothing for the town, come on, I’ve heard plenty of comments from people who’ve ha d dealings with her and were complimentary….how could you possibly know what she’s done, does she send you updates.
The Mail has gone …..which had daily pics of the useless Akers Belchers grinning out at you every night…once that went most people never saw their MP’s image and gives the impression they’re an absentee landlord…..whatever Party they’re in.
I view things from a non partisan angle, not prejudicially to suit political affiliations I don’t have.
After the last disgraced MP a stuffed toy would have been an improvement.

Jill is desperately in need of a makeover in a dress sense.
But her hearts in the right place and she has a handle on the main issue at the next election.
Poor Mr Carneys case is up next month i believe.

I emailed her with an issue, a reply from her secretary, she would get back to me, I heard nothing else, yes Snowy she might have helped individuals but like the other MPs she did nought for the town as a whole.

Whatever…..if you had to choose between Fred and Rose West or Mortimer and Houchen as next door neighbours you’d be over the garden wall like ‘it’s only me’ , advising Fred on his patio.

That did not impress me.

No one dare speak out against them because of their sexuality, one of them had already won a court case for it and got thousands in compensation. There was the vote to get rid of Drummond who had sussed them out but the town voted to dispense with a mayor, the rest is history.
I understand why the Brashes stood down, I attended some council meetings and anyone who disagreed or spoke out against the Belchers and their fellow councillors got shouted down.
Both left the Labour Party and joined Scargills Socialist Labour Party.

I could name them all but darent, Wilcox embezzled thousands and went to jail along with her daughter over the Owton Manor Community Group, The website High Tax Hartlepool highlighted what was going on not surprisingly it was subject to DDoS attacks. I believe the fella who founded it has since died, they changed the name to the Hartlepool Post, unfortunately I am banned. Admin said I was being too argumentative, the admin team were brexiteers, it was also personal vendetta by one of the admin team who was at one time a very good friend.

Things are looking up for the Tories, inflation is down, I reckon Sunak will hold off holding a G.E. until the end of the year citing his policies are working.

Admin said I was being too argumentative, the admin team were brexiteers, it was also personal vendetta by one of the admin team who was at one time a very good friend.

Always found the Hartlepool Post a decent read.

Did they really ban you for being too argumentative, Jamie? Obviously Uncle derwent must be a bit more tolerant.

It was envy and jealousy Snowy by an individual admin person, personal thing about where I was in my life, I will leave it there. They didn’t even have the decency to explain why. TBH the discussion I was involved in was about the sewage discharges all of sudden I was gone.
I have since tried to phone, email and message the individual but he doesn’t have the courtesy to reply, I will have my day if I meet him in the town.

Sounds like they pulled the chain on you and you were flushed away

I wouldn’t be making those comments on a message board for your own benefit

I don’t know if it still operates, last time I looked was about three years ago.

He is a rugby fan, no interest in football therefore won’t be on the Bunker, when I mean my day I mean verbally, we are both in our 70s, I doubt we would be rollin about the floor. It’s still going I could alter my profile or use my partners profile, not bothered just the fact they blocked me with out giving me a reason, warning etc. I wasn’t the first one plenty of others who disagreed with their opinions.

Hunt said that the conservatives will keep the triple lock on pensions. Why is this an issue as it should rise by these amounts.
Do you think any party who tried to change this would last long?
Pensioners vote and the message should be clear. "You touch us and we will touch you!"
Anyone remember Jack Jones who did sterling work for pensioners as I remember.
Perhaps we need a pensioners Tsar.

With the fall in inflation and other stuff on how the triple lock is calculated we won’t see the kind of pay rises as in the past so keeping the triple lock in place isn’t a problem.

No Party will dare stop the triple lock, it’s only appeared generous as Jamie says because of this particular spell in finances… so it will be in Labour’s interest to keep public sector pay rises in line if it wishes to pursue other avenues that need financing.
