Depends which York ( & Hartlepool for that matter) turn up. If they're as bad as they were at York, we'll win, no bother. Think they'll be an improvement on that showing , so going for a 1-1, with fingers firmly crossed.

Let's hope for a double headed coin that lies flat then.

York starting to show form, Pools not. Pools recent home record with the exception of a narrow win against the might Oxford City is abysmal. Anyone who bets regularly would put a wad on an away win. As Poolie I am desperate for anything but.

The arrivals of the 2 new lads gives us some hope. Get Cooke back in the side too.

We are just so short up top and nothing to change from the bench - it showed on tuesday as we could break through even when we had all that possession around the box

Only if Pools lose which lets face it, is a distinct possibility. If Pools win the vast majority will be happy. I have no way of knowing one way or another but I suspect most Poolies do not share the anti Raj hatred we see on this forum from a small number of contributers.

Most people I speak to don’t give a toss, the team performance is more important, the politics is neither here nor there.
I just hope some fools don’t use the opportunity to disrupt things, because that will undermine things on the pitch and do little for team spirit.

As I've said before, I'll will always support Pools no matter what or who's in charge. Owners come and go, players come and go, but we'll always be here......

I think you will find its a hell of a lot worse than on here, a lot on here are really sympathetic to raj, if you go on twitter its a different story or facebook.

You have to feel sorry for Kevin Phillips in this.

Thats what I was thinking but as I dont live in the town I hesitate to trumpet my opinion. Dont get me wrong, when we lost at home to Crawley so tamely and relegation was guaranteed, I would have joined in any anti management chant because the disappointment was sickening. Now, I think we should just get on with backing the players as long as they give 100%.

In what sense? I suspect he won’t be impressed by a section of the crowd being more interested on club politics than getting behind his team.
Have a choreographed whinge and shoot your own team in the foot, pure mischief.

I think we will find out on Saturday the feeling. Pools fans in the past have always been quite mild towards the chairman or pretty patient, if this was going on at other clubs their would be hell on by now.

Because he knows if the team dont perform Saturday and we are getting beat, the crowd will turn a lot quicker than normal.

a defeat and a shitshow with discontent in the stands---Phillips has been singing the praises of his new boss every chance he gets---wonder how he handles the likely negative reception on Saturday

It’s not how he handles it, it’s how the fans handle it…looks like the team performance will be secondary to some people.

Hell on? Why? Have we had a points deduction? Are the players not being paid? Is the club in administration? Has the owner appointed a promising manager with a decent profile? Has the club signed two solid defenders and and an experienced winger in ordeer to change the fortune on the pitch?
Just because Raj did not flog the club to bunch of anonymous people some are spitting out their dummy. Why not give the new manager a chance before vomitting out negativity.

Lets see if Phillips can do a pre or post match interview without kissing up to the chairman and thanking him profusely for his backing.....the next time will be the first time

Let's make this place difficult for teams to come to......they all say, Managers that is but look at the facts, in our last 13 home games in all competitions we've won 2, Drawn 1 and lost 10, that's nothing short of a disgrace for a club of our stature. Our fans need huge praise for still turning up in numbers to watch this shower.

You forgot to mention that we've brought in a winger and a defender from a div 2 club on top of the recently signed Parkes too - how convenient?

Oh, and I think you you're insulting Bogle if you're comparing Duffus to him. Bogle was good on his good days, can't see Duffus matching him in any way.

New manager, new defenders maybe we can turn it around. If we don't have that hope we may as well pack it in.

For goodness sake, the man's only been at the club less than a week. Give him a chance.

if ever a manager and a club needed a win its on saturday. the knives are getting sharpened already for raj and KP might get the backlash if only by being employed by him. those who are more interested in affairs off the field than the game itself would be better staying away even if the gate is lower than expected.

If we have a forward this week who can put it in the back of the net, we may have a chance, if we dont we are always going to struggle.

Lose this game and i honestly dont know where we go from here, Especially on thw back of a decent signing and a new manager.

Starting with less than 7 defenders will be helpful, so will getting shots away and balls into the box.
