Come down this morning, put the news on and the weather bloke said it had been a wet and windy night…and it had.
Yet, this naming every bit of vaguely bad weather and hyping it up by giving it these dramatic ‘storm’ warnings and worrying people unnecessarily is annoying.
Everytime it happens some climate change doom monger appears on the news to hype it up by naming bad weather periods to suit their cause.

When I was a kid a I remember long hot summers and cold frost winters with storms, climate change was never blamed then ?

Climate change has been happening since the big bang. How many Ice Ages have there been.
Strange how those spouting off about curbing greenhouse gases fly all over the world continually to try to scare us all into compliance.
Naming storms is ridiculous, better off just categorising them as the shipping forecasts do, eg force 10 is consistently specific wind speeds, how does anyone know what an Isha or a Henry mean - how windy and how wet is all we need. Also the woke name choosing is ridiculous - who the f*ck knows an Isha anyway

The shipping forecast is a great way to give you the facts, but the named storms are more intimidating for plebs……give em a couple of years and when the storm idea’s worn off …it’ll be Storm Devestaion, Storm Hell Fire etc ….it’s all about effect in the great message of the woke.

for me its to keep the woke happy and their climate change religeon. next in summer they,ll name long periods without rain or calling them the great drought as if it was in the australian outback. people who actually live in small high up pennine villiages actually laugh at these named storms. they call it average weather where they live.

I thought these storms were all named after women.

Alternate between boy and girl names now as it was deemed offensive that all storms had to be given girl names thus attributing negativity towards women.
No doubt there'll be some objecting that boy or girl names are offensive and only names with no which can be boy or girl names will be used eg Lesley.

If they didn’t sensationalise it nobody would watch, same as the news. Back in the day weather periods only had 2 names Summer or Winter, none of these fancy names, next people will be naming their kids after them.

The latest way to spin it out is about to happen..this storm is due a pause before more windy weather arrives in a matter of hours, so it’s gonna be classed as a new second storm.
All to rack up their own statistics to reinforce their doomsday forecasts.

Climate change is the biggest Tax making system on the planet. It's Winter Full Stop.

Hottest year since records began last year.... REALLY doubt that, it's just because technology is better to record weather around the world at the same time, than it was 20 to 40 years ago.

40°c in 2022 end of the world, get us to it :shifty: then 2023 normal summer with normal temperature.... banghead

We were told in college in 1972 by a lecturer resembling Neil off the Young Ones that the earth had 5-10 years left. One lad stood up and started putting his folder away and announced he’d be off then and enjoy what time he had left…the irony was the lecturer had a pension review folder on his desk.

The woman doing the weather forecast on Monday morning inadvertently gave the game away by describing the storm from hell by starting with ….’ Well after a wet and windy night….’ which just about sums it up.

Anyone would think we live between the North Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, at this rate and it's winter in the Northern Hemisphere... Heaven forbid we get rain, cold, windy and low pressure systems forming in winter
