Filmed in Ireland starred an American with a phoney Scottish accent and factually inaccurate, including the blue war paint.
Snowy wrote:Sussex UK wrote:Planet of the Apes with Charlton Heston..top notch.
Charlton Heston is more wooden than the Park benches.

It's up there in my under 8 years old category,snowy... alongside Raquel Welch's appearance in One Million Years B.C.

And started putting blue and white St Andrews crosses on their faces which in reality never happened in the Wallace era.

Mind you I only saw it because my lads were watching it.

Very loosely based on a true story/myth, it is proper far-fetched but hugely entertaining.
It'll be "The Dirty Dozen" tonight for similar reasons. Daft as rags, but never a dull moment.
These big-budget, star-studded 1960s WWII blockbusters may be as historically accurate as calling Brodie Paterson a footballer - but they still deliver the goods.

Remember that from school, went to see it and watched it twice…at the Odeon.

a lot depends on how you look at them when watching. if its historical accuracy you want its best to swerve them. my mates uncle fought in WW2 and was a dunkirk veteran. he always said that if the germans were actually like the ones portraid in films the dunkirk veterans would have been in berlin in 1940 and not being sick going back on small boats.

that reminds me of the story about my mother who was kicked out of the odean for laughing. problem was it wasn,t a comedy but a tear jerker that she thought was corny.
