Terry Skiverton is Assistant at Wimbledon, why would he leave that for the exact same job at a club in the league below?

Not really sure what to make of it,don't know enough about him really apart from where he's managed. Not sure what type of manager he is and how he likes to play etc.

Been thinking a lot lately about Askey being sacked and now appears we are about to employ a new manager. I think it's either one or the other of ...the sale will be done and dusted within days week at most and the new owners have had a large input or Raj is doing his very best to get the consortium to pull out. If I was in the position of the consortium I would definitely have fully expected to be involved in the sacking but moreover the new appointment. It surely can only be different if the new manager was Raj's appointment but only till the end of the season. What do you all think sctatchinghead

In fairness to Singh he has to keep running the club as no guarantee anything going through, consortium can’t have a say unless process is all but done and dusted which doesn’t seem to be the case

Fair point but if you were selling your house and a couple wanted a second viewing ( which normally ends in a sale) would you change the decor after showing them around twice. sctatchinghead

This true, no point in saying you have around £1 million pounds to spend and blow it all on some of the rubbish we have had in recent seasons, because they looked good on FIFA 2017/18/20    .

No way on earth 10 people interested in being involved in pools, you have to remember no one is ever interested in buying us.

Be some lad thats been out injured for 3 years playing in the iranian 6th division scored twice in 500 appearances and when he is signed the usual suspects will be saying what a great bit of business now we only need to sort out the midfield.

Id say average players. Charman did well at darlo, was highly thought of in a lower league, hasnt really set the league alight yet though for fylde. The Halifax lad their fans arent even that arsed he is going, Looks like a replacement for Featherstone, but as every other manager has picked featherstone this lad might not even get a game, so unless we want to bull them up and say fantastic signings we can? They might turn out to be fantastic signings but i cant see the bookies losing much sleep over us challenging just yet.

Yet they're both were offered new contracts by their previous clubs, both have played at a higher level than almost every one of Barnets new signings?

I will say once again Barnet finished 26 points ahead of us, so are either paying way better wages have better scouts, have a wider pool to choose from or whatever it is, but whatever they are doing works. They already have a nucleus of a winning team, even if these new signings are garbage they still have that nucleus of a good team already in place. We dont as Gateshead showed us, were not a particularly good team. Also recent history has shown were not very good at signing players, as we now have some sort of basque mentality in wanting mainly north eastern players that job is going to be even harder to pull off.

Nicky featherstone has been offered 10 contracts at pools? Nobody else wanted him. Remember young foley he was offered a contract every year at pools it was almost a joke. Just because they have been offered contracts at the footballing giants that are fylde and halifax doesnt neccesarily mean they are any good. I will be surprised if hunt gets in over featherstone and if he doesnt and we play them both then there goes the idea of a mobile midfield.

Barnet haven't lost many of their first team (if any) they still have Kanu, Kabamba, Collinge, Brunt etc. They've signed 3 players from the league below and 1 from the league below that, realistically they'll be back ups you'd think. They've also signed 5 players from this league including Solihulls goalkeeper (who was on loan from Ipswich), Kizzi who was a decent League 2 player when we used to play Sutton and Tavares who was one of Dagenhams best players.

On the face of it Hunter and Charman are decent signings but you're cherry picking like you accuse others of.
