With four players going out there’ll be the money to fund those coming in.

Might well be the case, but they're needed anyway.

Doubt anyone would buy an injured player.
Wait for it.

If good enough will always sell. The best example was paul Gascoigne that despite a possible carrier ending 18 months out injury he still completed his move to Lazio from Spurs. Granted the deal was signed provisionally but Lazio still took him because of what he could do if he made a full recovery.

A possibility, but equally possible Duffus has been signed because Manni D and Josh have long term injuries and we need a presence up front. Our pathetic weakness at defending corners and other set pieces is well known so Tom Parkes was desperately needed.

Where these two (Duffus & Parkes) lined up by JA or is it all Lennie's work?

Slightly reminiscent of when Tubby, first turned up and signed Gary Jones and Strodder- from Notts County.

Jones worked hard for Pools though clearly left his shooting boots at Notts.Particularly enjoyed his Injury time winner against Millwall in the FA Cup- sure that's the only time I've witnessed Pools play on a Sunday lunchtime (maybe bar a Boxing day)

Strodder- was a Colossus at the back, and took no prisoners - hope Parkes is in his mould.

Welcome to Pools Chaps!

All we ask is that you leave EVERYTHING on the pitch EVERY game and avoid getting sucked into the current half arsed approach by the many already here. Please lead by example!

Likely neither. Pools have a Head of Football Operations - Joe Monks. This what was said about him when he got the job:

"Primarily in player recruitment and development led roles, Joe previously worked at both academy and first team levels for clubs including Barnet, Brentford, Norwich, Southampton, Colchester and Wolves.
Joe relocated to the North East last season and took up a similar Football Operations Manager role at South Shields. He was instrumental in player recruitment that led the Mariners to achieve promotion to the National League North."

Maybe lennie said i only take the job if you give me some sort of chance. Let me get rid of a few and sign a few and see if we can improve things. Otherwise we were just going down.

In his interview Lennie said he didn't know whether he'd be doing the job 'one week, two weeks or three'- didn't sound like a man who thought he needed a plan, just the temporary benefit of his experience.

Can't imagine Raj rolling over if Lenny had said that anyway, more like he'd have said do it or you're out of the club.

or has a permanent askey replacement is with us already and has not been announced after that lennie comment. it always seems to me that any signing we make has been around the club for at least a few days before there signing is announced.

they are both here because of lack of time on the pitch at there clubs. always worry if they are a bit stale and not matchfit at the moment. Sounds as if parkes will be playing tonight by his interview so we will see quickly.

Good pros dont take long to adjust. Yes given they both start may not give the best examples of themselves but once match fit an playing with the lads and know how to operate within the new setup. Im sure we will see a better Pools as for me these 2 are better than what we currently have available. Once Mani D is back it will be good to see if he can gel with Duffus too.

fairly confident Parkes has enough to see him through tonight if he starts, likewise with Duffus. Both know this level and have played higher. Its the calibre of player im glad to see us finally bringing in to the club.

hopefully a RWB an another winger type attacking player aswell of the same ilk wouldnt go a miss and i think we should be back on track.
