No probs. We just play Hastie as Centre Forward and recall Njoli from his loan. Easy peasy.

I think Wreh may be heading back…

Mancini def Rusty as you would expect a couple of nice touches but a few yards short

Not sure. By all accounts we played Ok but never looked like scoring. Not played off the park. He can just bang on about being unlucky.

To be honest - Josh “done” and Josh fit is the same.

We can still do this. There’s nothing in it.

We are playing 20 passes and getting no where the team has no confidence.

Not to bothered about josh he contributed nothing today and knacked his knee falling over in a challenge.

All we can do is just hope for the best going forward.

There was nothing in that other than our CF is rubbish and their keeper is quality.

Mind you - if Askey gets Sweeney to do the post match interview then I’ve had enough of him.

Did anybody notice that one of Oldham's commentators claimed that Josh was our top scorer. He said it twice that I heard and later on we were "Hartlepools". Ah, the "good" old days? Not a good shout to slag off former players no matter how bad they were here. They nearly always come back to haunt Pools. Fondop laughing the loudest tonight. Oh, and did anyone notice in the corner of Boundary Park the multi faith prayer hut? I'm sure there's someone on the bunker who can make a joke out of it?

1st half was good with lots of nice approach play, but only created one serious chance...
2nd half Oldham improved, but hardly deserved to win the 2nd half 1-0 as well.
Oldham were crap, but were able to put the ball in back of the net :(

Realistically, if Raj had sold him at the time he was sellable, everyone would have piled in on Raj for selling him… so he hung onto him…but funny though how Josh went off the boil when Askey arrived.
Our problem is in the dressing room, not the board room.

Yep, his performances are so poor, you cant help wondering if he is playing badly on purpose. A slightly crazy idea I admit. If he wanted away in the short term, he'd be busting a gut to get noticed by FL teams. Currently he is so poor, his best option is to wait till his contract expires and then he can walk but who would want him? Maybe he is on a promise from a manager somewhere who has said he'll be offered a contract come what may. Meanwhile, he can play the minimum number of minutes for Pools and still take home his wage.

He has a point the lack is f leadership from senior players is a disgrace, Askey has carried the can but some of the players should feel ashamed of themselves, the fact they don’t speaks volumes

He did really well - and it was nice that John Askey singled him out as the one positive we could take from the game in his post match interview.

and now he is injured so there is no chance of doing even a swap deal with another club for there striker who is a misfit with them. however bad he is he will be better than mr.nobody who will replace him next saturday.

he certainly did. just hope we do not overplay him and he goes off the boil and loses confidence. that happened to joe grey after challinor left when he was used sparingly by him.

The phone in on radio tees after the game featured Craig Higgys views on what's going on at Pools.
Will be available on the podcast app radio tees.

He mentions wages.
If ya wanna know just tune in.
That way you have your own individual choice to believe him or not.
Anyhow all the best

Wages, unless they’ve been cut, they’d have a point…….but you take it up with the club.
I can only assume like any job they sign a contract and it’s all there in black and white, are we adding illiteracy and numeracy to our playing squad’s many deficiencies…?

Podcasts are normally available for a few weeks so no need to refer to a false assumption.
Higgy used to be Pools manager under the same employer.
The option is there to actually listen to his views.
He has his say on wages Pools players earn.

But the point is whatever the wages are, why sign up to a wage you're not happy with?
And, surely if you want to get a higher wage you perform to the best of your ability to either earn it where you are, or get a move?
Higgy is an ex employee and may have an axe to grind.
We had a brilliant start to the season with no poor performers really, now we're shite with it being difficult to find good performances from some of the same players - have they had a pay cut in September?
I also would have thought they'd be busting a gut every game to earn their win and scoring / clean sheet bonuses as a way of boosting their incomes, yet the effort lately has been dire.

If the players had a cut wages wise, the PFA would be knocking on the door with a hammer, there’s something wrong no doubt about it, but I want to see how they perform on Saturday against Oxford ‘City’ to see if there’s a change in attitude on the field, that will tell me a lot.

no pay cuts but some might have found out what their team mates are on making them feel dissatisfield if they are putting a shift in on the pitch and in training and the higher earner is not.
