Just in the last hour I've had a leaflet through the door advertising a local NHS dentist practice saying;

OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK

365 DAYS A YEAR

INCLUDING LATE EVENINGS

EMERGENCIES SEEN SAME DAY

ACCEPTING NEW NHS PATIENTS

I bet you locals must be envious?

thought NHS dentists went out when the police stopped driving wolseley cars about.

Dentists appear more interested in cosmetic work and having a list of regulars than some poor sod with tooth ache…about time NHS dentistry was restored because it’s only for those who can afford it…..we’re going back to Victorian times.

Probably a bloke with a shed and a pair of heavy duty pliers.

There are some Europeans (Italian), Asians, Africans, don't think any British, and both male & female but have several surgeries in the same building, so can see half a dozen patients at the same time.

Don’t tell me you use one of those that turn out ‘patients’ with plutonium white teeth of a size that would grace a cart horse’s mouth

They would have a problem doing that with me, as although I could sit in the dentist chair all day whilst being treated and quite enjoy it, my lack of teeth now would make that fairly impossible.

How vain are you mr ct...You could get a full set of turkey teeth for 10k upwards.

no i.m not after a part in that essex programme and only go if i cannot stand the pain anymore

Company called My Dentist own 550 dentist practices in the U.K. in turn owned by a private equity U.K. company , they own my dental practice, my old dentists all retired. On my first visit I was seen by a very nervous young lady dentist, I needed a new crown, she took the old one out and replaced it with a temporary one. On my next visit to have the permanent one she chipped the one next to it, we will replace the chipped one free of charge. Next time a fella, filled a back tooth, filling fell out after 2 weeks, I have never been back since. I got the impression they employed dentist who just finished uni.

This one in Tamworth are mainly Asian, both male & female, within the age group 30-50. Some of these have a different (and better) work ethic than normal. thus all the hours they are open.
