1-5 to Pools (Mani D 4, Hastie)

Clean sheet alludes us against a pub team (OG) banghead

MUST play our best available team!
Don't want a weakened team costing us Wembley...............

..........the regulars are capable of doing that!

Not a clue how this will turn out. If Pools underestimate the opposition there could easily be a home win. Who knows? Pools are Pools.

just wonder if one of our poorest players will get their 15 minutes of fame by scoring a couple of goals to see us through on a dodgy pitch against a side who class the game as their cup final.

One thing I forgot to mention was: whatever the result, Pools will concede at least one goal.

if they score first it will be interesting to see the body language of both sets of players out there. would not be footballs biggest ever shock if pools get beat but the fall out from it could be interesting though.

just wonder if the game will fall foul of the weather if they have a grass pitch. rain forcast over there way on saturday after the thaw and a heavy pitch as well. doubt they,ll have a full time groundsman or covers that have not been stolen.

Think Askey said in an interview that they have a hybrid pitch - a mixture of natural grass and synthetic fibres. No idea how well that stuff drains.

They’re in the 8th tier of English football…if we don’t get a decent win here we might as well cut our losses, dig the Vic pitch up and plant spuds, at least we’ll get a return on them.

Mind you the grounds near Aintree, so they can pop over there if they run short.

Oh Bollocks!

We've had it-

The pitch will be a great leveller, the glory of the cup, the form book will go out the window, their cup final, giant killing......... and Motty will turn up in his sheep skin, with Alan Shearer to giving their half time team talk.

Revised prediction 1 nil To COL

They score 1st minute penalty after we've had a man sent off
FAT Giant Killing then makes back pages of ALL Sunday Nationals

Disclaimer - I've had a few beers!

you do not need to be pissed thinking that way. we do not have exactly a team of tough guys out there ploughing through mud to then face a cold dressing room after the game where the showers might run cold quickly.

just wonder what the odds on that score would have been at KO time and what you and kettering would have got for a tenner bet.
