I’d say it’s odds on that Sunak will leave politics after the next election. As such he’s doing the Mordants and Jenricks and Badenochs a big favour - the Tories are toast in the next GE. Whoever takes over after Sunak will be able to offer a ‘fresh start.’

Big Jill- truly awful,
We should have got Bob Mortimer - hugely talented and more local than that chancer, would certainly have been more entertaining.
Other Mortimers could have considered- Dennis - of Aston Villa fame and Tony from East 17

Not had a decent MP since Mandelson- I never realised how happy he made me,
he came and he gave without taking, but we sent him away...... bbolt

Mandeslson resigned to become European Commissioner, I can never get my head round why MPs very rarely are born and bred in their constituency or nearby area and therefore have no local knowledge.

possibly because they have no interest in local affairs anyway and are just using the voters of the town to further their careers. there are some like we have in my area who do there best for locals but in the end being a tory in a marginal seat i doubt it will save him in the end.
