Most of our team tonight and last 4 games or so have League 2 experience, in some way shape or form.

Most of the last 3/4 games played, most of them teams have National League, North/South experience players, with only a few with league experience.

So either proves, our players are paid to much and here for money only.

Part time players are better than full time players. As they have for to play for.

We are a team who is currently playing crap because of a bad patch we hit.

Something is wrong behind the scenes that we as fans are unaware of.

National League football is way to much to handle for or players with 2 games per week at the moment and things will improve after the Chester FA cup.

I screwed if I know...... :angry-screaming:

It might be that the players are trying their best not helped by a paper thin squad, and that 3 of our best players, who would be nailed on to start if available, are all out for the season

Seen plenty knocking Raj Singh and the numpties he often hires. They're not 'the club' so they're fair game.

Its for all to see its a very poor division 5 this season. The players must be really bad if they needed Dodds n Mancini to carry them them first few games of the season.
Like has been said on anutha thread our forwards aint injured but lets stick to the Poolie Culture of blaming injuries to offset a club run with zero ambition.
Its that bad former Northern League clubs South Shields and Spennymoor could be above us in the football pyramid next season.

But lets prolong this mess and call it stability whilst blameing previous managers employed by the same Chairman.
Only solution for improvement is a fresh start under better more professional Ownership.

Probably be a few disagree like.
Nae bother different opinions keep this place alive.

It will be the same next season, if mancini is here, once competitive action gets underway injuries will not be replaced by suitable quality. Its a cycle blame the previous manager, mainly cos he is only allowed to bring in shite, even dave challinor had to resort to the likes of fondop, yet some are still taken in by it. As we slip further and further down to eventually end up conference north, because thats where we are heading eventually.

At the end of the day if its not askeys fauit the blame will be put on the fans, standing up to the utter garbage served up. Virtually every other managers in this league keep saying we are a big club in this division.yet we act like spennymoor, ambitions of some are non existent.

we are only a big club because of our long history as a league club with bigger gates than the majority of them. doubt we are a big club where spare money is concerned. as a clun i cannot see our ambitions being lower t5han many of the rest but have little left to back this up by bringing in 4 new players who are as good or better than how our decent players are to get us back on track. until we get a really deep pocketed owner coming in it is what it is and we have 2 choices. stick with the club or walk away.

Do we need a big pocketed owner to beat the likes of the gatesheads and dorkings etc. We need someone that has a vision, that can see that you need to act before things start going wrong. Employ others that have a clue, The warning signs have been there long enough. Decent standard national league players are needed, you dont have to go out and buy players for 100 to 200 k, seems to be plenty tearing us to shreds of late.

We go on like its impossible at pools yet you look at the teams above us and barring say Chesterfield we should be more than be able to compete with them. We know we have had rotton luck losing players but we really shouldnt implode also because of it.

Problem is there isn't a queue of prospective owners wending their way down Clarence Road. When we were in dire straits a few years ago the only person willing to help us out was Raj. and it appears that he is still all we've got. So until better and more professional ownership (your words) turns up to replace what we've got, we are stuck with him.
I am not holding my breath Kev but that is the reality but you and others seem incapable of grasping that fact and, until you do you will most probably keep spouting the same old hot air that, so far, has got you nowhere.

We have had interest, even jeff stellin said we had . Every other club barring bury seem to be able to find owners we have for over 100 years some good some bad, loads of people out there want football clubs. Southend getting taken over apparently, york recently. So why cant we? Price too high or has this guy any intenion of really selling and just uses the clubs up for sale as a way to keep fans off his back who knows? But if he doesnt go soon we will be in the deep brown stuff cos things are getting worse by the week.

Like you say "who knows" with reference to whether he wants to sell or not. Also who knows how much he is asking or any conditions he is building in. Until there is more knowledge available to us on those fronts, there isn't much mileage in discussing it. Maybe he is hell bent on punishing people like you who are constantly criticising him......once again who knows. You can't say you haven't asked for it. The problem is quite a lot haven't asked for it but we are being loaded onto the same boat. So hows about giving it a rest. You've been attacking him for years and nothing has improved by doing that so have you ever considered trying another tack.

Regardless of if we need / want new owners it's not down to us and never will be, unless someone's got money to burn down the back of their sofa?
There just seems to be a vendetta against a guy who came in and saved us when nobody else would, the same guy who's currently funding us with his own money. It's absolutely bizarre to be constantly moaning about the owner and budgets when none of us have a scooby of any details. As for clubs don't succeed without loads of money, Carlisle are doing OK and reportedly had a very similar budget to ours last season.
Can we blame previous managers rather than the chairman, absolutely - whatever budget we've had has been splurged on absolute cross on 2 year contracts, I'm sure Raj doesn't get involved in contract negotiations. So accountability absolutely falls on the top man, responsibility falls on everyone from Recruitment, Manager,Coaches, Players, etc for the shit show we see on the pitch.
Does anyone seriously think Raj has come in determined to fail and therefore see his cash go down the pan?

Darlo were f*cked long before Raj took over, Reynolds, the guys who followed and bought the club to get their hands on the stadium alone, and the Council drove them to the brink. Raj saved them from that then decided he wasn't going to chuck anymore money at them. Not blameless, but less so than his predecessors.

Rushden & Diamonds springs to mind, whose former ground has now been levelled

Rich owner Max Griggs (Of Dr Martens fame) took them through the league's - but once he pulled the plug- the house of cards collapsed as it was built on sand- and they disappeared back into the shadows from where they came.

These clubs wirh sub 1000 crowds go back to division 9/10 in the pyramid.
Mostly correct.
But what about these teams with half our support who have more ambition than Pools today.
A few on here define ambition as money only buy sucess
Div 4 n 5 success is built on the Ambition of employ ing the correct people and getting all on board working as a team.

Can we get away from this utter shite that you can only win a few games and even Promotion by being bankrolled by famous mega rich heroes.

Hard work.
Total commitment.
Surely you old timers believed in this Philosophy before your new lives ov Internet gang chewiness.

It is utter shite. But to believe anything else leaves people open to the terrifying notion that the owner of HUFC is doing anything less than a good job. There are people who are petrified of upsetting Raj and him buggering off. What an awful way for our football club to be, where fans attack brother fans in the defence of some fleeting custodian.

do not think we have less ambition than any other club. teams like dorking and oxford city have their own ambitions to avoid relegation from the highest league they have ever played in. southend have ambition to just keep on going. need to look at the teams promoted from this league over the last few seasons. not all wrexhams and stockports but apart from possibly grimsby all have gained success from off the field backing. i have an ambition to own a pre war lagonda but blike our owner i have not got the spare cash to do it. always remember possibly half the new owners that come into clubs are far from knights in shining armour to get clubs back where the fans think they belong.

We seem to be scrabbling around to make excuses for our underachievement to try and deflect blame from you know who and keep him sweet.

We can't expect to be doing better unless we have an owner burning millions = UNTRUE

We seem to be scrabbling around to make excuses for our underachievement to try and deflect blame from you know who and keep him sweet.

We can't expect to be doing better unless we have an owner burning millions = UNTRUE

This implosion downward spiral is unnatural

if he could have done more with what he has available then i,d be one of the first to get on his back and that needs some proof not rumours. can you give me that long list of clubs who have not had money thrown at them. think we all know where the mags would still be along with manchester city and all those new age league clubs that have passed us on there way up.

But Raj has publicly acknowledged his mistakes hasn't he?
I'm struggling to understand what he's doing wrong at this moment in time, he said he'd back the manager and he has - plenty on here praising the quality of the players brought in only a month or so ago. Askey is constantly saying he can bring players in but hasn't apart from Fev - his choice or Raj's, we don't know for sure but why say you can if you know you can't? Is Askey lying to us?
Injuries to Cooke, Mancini,Dodds, and dramatic loss of form by Hendry, Seaman, Umerah, are not down to Raj but that's more than half the starting 11 either not available or out of form, even Mani D's form has regressed. Singh when we're winning, we only want Singh when we're winning.

does anyone seriously think that all of our squad injured or not were JA first choices. out of the players still available JA might not rate a number of them and those he does do not fancy the club. bringing the right player in is never an easy task but one thing for certain is unless the players are despirate for a club its far better them coming to us because they want to be here and not bribed because of the wages being paid out. if this means a change in our fortunes taking a bit longer than we want then we all may be glad of this in the end. it would be more annoying for fans if we kept splashing out the cash in the hope we get it right on the pitch with many players falling by the wayside we had big hopes in.

I don't think Raj has ever ever really backed any manager above and beyond the very very orrdinary. The squad is paper thin and all we could do to patch it up was Featherstone.....for a single month. That being said, we are existing as a club. Not exactly alive but not dead either.

However I have conceded that we are still living under the hangover last seasons clusterf*** and that this fact has to be understood when considering Askey. He has someone else's big big mess to tidy up and if he is told he must ship out to bring in, that's us screwed.

As for the sale, I don't think he really wants to sell. He's hoping last seasons unrest is forgotten about. His bunker propaganda team are working hard to achieve it.

I just wish he would sort this lark out cos it wouldn't bother me if the name Raj Singh was above the door forever, as long as HUFC stopped being a joke. And a joke we are, name a club our size that isn't down in this division because of horrendous mismanagement. This is the company we are keeping at the moment.

Not one fan on here wants Pools to fail/ lose (though sometimes I have my suspicions)!

We all want what is best for the club- OUR CLUB.

There will always be differences of opinion, which is natural and also healthy.

However over time we've have always been in and around the 4th Division. OK we are slightly below that at this moment in time but not too far away in the grand scheme.

We all want to be back in the EFL however berating the Manager or Chairman after every dropped point isn't the right way of going about it, and surely counterintuitive.

Yes we need to have ambition- but we're not the only team that wants or has that- meaning no one club is guaranteed or entitled to win every game.

Apart from the Play Off trophy (and the Comcast Cup) we've never won any silverware or even had a day out at Wembley. That is not to say that we accept defeat and abject performances. But constant sniping at the owner/manager/players isn't going to help either.

Raj has made mistakes, by his own admission, but the club is almost solvent. Clearly no knight in shining armour is about to take over anytime soon, but neither do we want the next CoxBerg asset stripping the club again.

Askey is a decent bloke who has a good pedigree in and around this level - realistically we aren't going to get any better. Yes he's made mistakes but he is the safe pair of hands, we've been desperate for since DC rode off into the sunset.

A season challenging for the playoffs and a Wembley appearance in the FAT and I'd be very happy. Then should we not progress in the playoffs, go all out for the top spot next season.

UTP.

With your philosophy ya must reckon the Darlo fans got the club they deserved because they didn't Bow to your Hero and kiss his toes.

Plus ya don't like that English law
Freedom of Speech.
Ya getting like a Putin/North Korean Dictator.
Ya not allowed to go against my views cos i am the king of the Bunker.

:character-burgerking:

Considering that it is very rare for posts on here to be deleted or free speech to be interfered with or posters to be suspended or banned from here, I consider your comments to be a tad unfair Kev BUT if you want to tar me with the descriptions you have posted you shouldn't be surprised if I stray into the realm you depict me as running. You can't accuse me of being a self appointed king of the bunker or align me to despicable regimes and dictators and then complain if I start living up to your expectations. Ask yourself if you have ever been censored, banned or had any disciplinary measures taken against you whilst I have been moderating this forum and then tell me again that I stifle or interfere to anyone's right to free speech and deserve to be aligned to despicable regimes and/or dictators. Have you had any private messages from me warning you about your posts on here,,,, no you haven't. Nor to my knowledge has anybody else. The next person to be banned by me from this forum will be the first so really you couldn't be further from the truth. I am not perfect and can take criticism but not when there is no substance to the criticism. However, as I've said, there is nothing to stop me operating as the person you describe me as, apart from my personal pride in trying to do a decent job to the benefit of you and every other member on here.

Derwent, you make fair points here regarding your moderator role. However, I don't hear you telling people who share your point of view to 'give it a rest'. They seem to be able to say what they say as often as they like in your eyes. But you're right, you could do worse than mere grumbling.

There's nobody on here who constantly repeats the same mode of attack after attack on the club chairman as much as you, Mr Billy or Kev and the suggestion of give it rest is not of a censuring nature but a sense of frustration at the density and consistency of the same old same old. We all recognise what is going on but don't go on about it as much as you three. We all would like to see a better option gallop down Clarence Rd but until that happens we've got what we've got but we don't keep harping about the desire for an ownership change or need to be reminded of where we are on a relentless day to day basis.
Operating like the Stasi isn't in my modus operandi, I much rather people exercised their own control and realise that other people don't want to hear the same old ad nauseam. I have actually had messages of complaint and rather than take any action I have virtually pleaded with people to ease up. Nobody else goes on about any other point as much as you three go on about Raj and therefore don't have to be asked to give it a rest.

Again you are talking about points of view. This is your opinion. There are others. There is freedom to skip posts, even entire threads. I'm really sorry folks but people won't always have the same opinion and you should brace yourself if you've only ever lived in echo chambers.

You've had a message of complaint. Oh dear. Someone obviously needs a hug.

Meanwhile Featherstone is looking good.

Unfortunately, certain people can't take jokes, don't like it when you have a rant, tell the truth, have a difference of opinion or speak your mind these days. We are a woke society.

I can take a lot of crap personally at work for supporting Pools and being born and raised in Hartlepool. However, I draw the line of being called a Darlo fan. I would never attack anyone or tell anyone, they a Darlo fan, unless you support Darlington.

Big improvement from Wednesday night.

Aye points of view and it is a point of view that inspired someone to call me the equivalent of a despicable dictator or two. How have I the freedom to skip posts, when it is my job to monitor them. As for someone needing a hug. People have the right to complain and believe me they do. You complained a few posts ago that I was selective with whom I advised to give it a rest, Does that mean you also need a hug.
Aye it seems like Nicky is doing a good job. Long may it continue.

The fact you’ve jumped straight on the forum to get on the defensive. Just enjoy it - it’s unfortunate you couldn’t see it - solid home win. Let’s build on it now.

Edit - and the fact you’ve taken this defensive stance in 2 threads within 10 minutes. Snowy, we’re all on the same side.

Steady on Mr Imp- you not going to have a swipe at the chairman or the manager - after all we only scored 3 against a pub team at home. And we conceded again. I feel outraged by your lack of outrage!

you can have all the vision and brains you like but without the money to back them you are nothing in todays game. not many teams gain success nowadays without a big cheque book. where would these new age league clubs be without one. back were they were before the money came in.

Rushden & Diamonds springs to mind, whose former ground has now been levelled

Rich owner Max Griggs (Of Dr Martens fame) took them through the league's - but once he pulled the plug- the house of cards collapsed as it was built on sand- and they disappeared back into the shadows from where they came.[/quote]
It wasn’t just the ground that disappeared, so did the factory, production moved to China and Thailand, never felt the same after that, not a comfy fit.

No internet and no phone for a week….. good to be back, let’s see how this afternoon’s performance is not good enough for some.

I don’t do defensive. I’m just surprised that some people go on about how poor we are then change their minds by the game, not implying that of you Mr Bigdog.

Fair play. Analysing it based on the last 4 games we’ve seen, it’s been 2 terrible performances, 1 okay one and 1 good one out of the last 4.

So you can excuse people changing their mind given we have set a new level today, in comparison to the 3 that came before. And as you say yourself Mr Snowy - it’s a points game. It reads 0, 0, 0, 3.

As the old adage goes, something to build on. Now let people enjoy it, no point scoring

Are you offering a hug? That would be nice

Steady on.
