First time I have seen the match highlights re Altringham. I thought we looked good going forward. The Midfield and strikers really put in a shift with the high press. It’s just such a shame we cannot sort this defence out. First chance I got to look at Burton albeit only highlights. His pass to Finney for our first goal was great. Unfortunately, both of their goals where caused by his mistakes and at the end he was out done for pace and fortunately the ball just went past the post. I know it’s his first match and he is understandably of the pace as Pools look extremely fit. Hopefully he will learn from it. Enjoyed the highlights though. Any thoughts what do about the defence?

We need a squad of bricklayers to build a wall.

but we would have run out of money though to provide the mortar.

A minefield would be cheaper.

What about an invisible man who can run about causing chaos with the opposition.
Frequent trips and shoves, shorts being pulled down at vital moments, pushing players against the ref and a Viniie Jones ‘Gaza grab’ at set pieces would add to the fun.

Surely the simple solution given we're away on Saturday is just to park the team bus in the 6 yard box! rolf

New 8 1 1. Formation with 40 yard lob shots on the oppositions goal.
It works and we go on to promotion n JA gets a 7 year contract for finding a formula thats cheap n nasty but effective.
UTP.

Knowing our luck we’d leave the front door open on the coach, the ball would go in, ricochet off the window and out through the emergency door into our net…several times.

well our opponents must use an invisible man the number of times our players slip before players get near them.

To be fair we’ve had several invisible men ‘playing’ on the pitch over recent years.
