Hartlepool United aren't the best team in the National League by a long shot, shock horror.

Hartlepool United will lose games this season and will win games. 4 defeats in 9 games with our first home loss to Woking.

Some fans are saving a lot of money for the rest of the season in home tickets and away travel, as some clearly think we are going down already. The clocks haven't gone back yet.

Fans say judge a team after 10 games and it gives up an indication of how they will do. Currently 6th in the table with 15pts 0 GD after 9 games. So Tuesday night will definitely determine our season

Some think it's all Raj Singh fault, as he must be going around the training camp with a hammer and doing our best players legs and ankle in.

Let's out this league either up or down because we are clearly either the best or worse team in the league, we just can't be a good old average team who is trying to rebuild after a terrible season last season.

fans nowadays want immediate success and have no patiance at all in building a team slowly. just look back to the first 5 home games last season and compare and contrast. one poor performance out of 5 aint bad.

We are going to slide down the table now. Injuries have done for us, but we expected them to come. So being 6th or 8th after 10 games means nowt now. The team we are playing with for the forseeable future has lost 3 out of 4 and no doubt 4 out of 5 after tuesday, even the kids in the north west corner seemed to lose heart yesterday, they can see whats coming with our season, if serious action isnt taken and serious action isnt bringing two kids and not playing them. At least we know next season we will hopefully have two quality lads coming back.

possibly its that the writing might be on the wall as we really have not looked as good without both dodds and mancini in the side. we would be very lucky indeed to find replacements for both as good.

Efl shite is more acceptable

I started my lads when they reached five, that was in the early eighties, they survived some horrendous shite masquerading at football, but bless em it never put them off at all.
Of course the only channel for moaning those days was two letters in the footy Mail every week and one was singing the praises of the some obscure player from the 1940’s and one was from Derek Bland…..and by the way, incorrect punctuation, spelling or grammar warranted a trip to the Mails waste paper basket

think it always helps when you start watching a side in a good era than a bad one just to keep you going. in the mid to late 50,s pools were quite good but i doubt i,d have lasted a season if i had started watching at other times of our history since then.

It wasn’t it gamble, Pools didn’t have a choice, I am sure they didn’t start the season intentionally with a small squad.

tuesday will make no real difference no matter how the game pans out. a win only papers over the cracks and a defeat away is what most expect anyway. did yesterdays win for woking suddenly made them world beatersand a serious challenge for automatic promotion. without a few decent players in the situation just is not going to change.
