Jeff is doing another challenge & my wife & I have registered to join him for 3 days of consecutive marathon walks, & are on the waiting list for the fourth in London some 3 days later. As Jeff & I were in a Subbuteo league when we were at school, I'm hoping to persuade him to pull some strings so that we can complete the London marathon walk too

Our target is to raise £2,400, whether we make it to the London event or not, & will be overjoyed & extremely grateful if any Bunkerites feel able to sponsor us

I was in the year above him at Grammar, and I'm sure Hartleblue was in the same year.

My wife & I are now registered to walk the London marathon, having previously only been on the waiting list.

Please help us to raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK via the Just Giving link at the top of the thread

The first of next week's 4 marathons takes place on Monday, & any contribution you can make to our fundraising will be most appreciated. Almost £900 has been raised so far in aid of Prostate Cancer UK

3 marathons completed & only 1 left to go. A big thank you to those who have contributed when we don't even know each other by name.

Any additional support is extremely welcome from bunkerites

A big thank you to Yorpoolie for his contribution to our fundraising.

My wife was the only female to complete all 4 marathons last week, & I was the oldest. Considering we hadn't done any walks of this length previously, we are well chuffed with that effort.

It's not Tesco, but every little helps if you would like to add to the sponsorship of £1,361 raised so far

Jeff's 2023 challenge takes place on 17 September - 26.2 miles from Wembley to Wycombe Wanderers - & my wife & I are signed up for it to raise funds for Prostate Cancer. We managed to raise £2,332 including gift aid for the charity in 2021

I've asked Pools if they will post full details on the OS, & will post full details on here if, for any reason, they are unable to do so. We will be grateful if any Bunkerites feel able to make a donation, although we appreciate that these financial times can be difficult.

Yup! I sure was, a great lad Jeff, he's never changed. It would be nice to meet for a pint or two to celebrate promotion come May.

Bumped to the top in the hope that some donations from Bunkerites can be made for tomorrow's marathon. I missed today's match, but by the result it seems tomorrow might be the only chance I get to Wembley

I've made a donation to the cause Mr POT.

Me and my brother did the Yorkshire Leg in 2021 From the Stadium of Cake - Helland Road.
We both wore Pools caps the whole way round.
Was a great day- my feet were wrecked by the end and I only did the 1- so full respect for doing all 4 in 4 days.

Would recommend doing one of these to all Bunkerites it's tough going but great craic and all for a very worthy charity.

I'm going to do next year's should Jeff decide to go on the road again.

Best of luck for the Big Day!

Thank you so much for your donation Mr Kettering - a shame we didn't spot you in 2021 - you must have been way ahead of me that day. I struggled in Leeds City Centre but the pain which I imagine other families experience from Prostate Cancer kept me going, as my discomfort from walking would pale into comparison with what they have to bear.
My Garmin watch shows a battery count of only 27 this morning, which is not good, but we are determined to crack this
Thanks once again
