The blame game already after 6 games. Hey.

The ‘blame game’ appears to be coming from some fans, not Askey

His interview bfor game blameing lack of signings.
Must of been well backed at Maccy.

Probably wasn't still having to deal with the hangover from a previous shit show of a season from hell. I would say he's quite correct, there has been a lack of signings. Maybe we will have to make do with a distinctly average season to finally get shot of players still under contract and then go on from there. Raj isn't going to put in any more money to help speed up the process by the looks of it.

he still wants more signings as we do. however money will be tight and he just cannot go out and just sign anyone and everybody in the hope they,ll come off. he needs the right men in his eyes with limited funds which has been the lot of most pools managers in most of the clubs history.

Not a big fan of Scousers but he fast tracked a club in a mess back into the EFL.
Dident take long for his hard work to get undone. :angry-tappingfoot:

I think recent events have shown he was born under a wandering star….and Stockport fans are gullible.

JA got a specific mention on Look North last night.
Never had a clean sheet in 22 games as Pools manager.

He’ll be getting sacked soon if not careful, to be clear that would be a bad decision but we know how trigger happy Raj is, and a crowd of 3k
To see us lose to Solihull next Tuesday will get his arse twitching

The coach might as well drop him off in Oldham on the way home

I ask the question again.
Why has JA got cult status.
And after that Grimsby result had numerous chances to keep us up.
No better than previous bosses.
Ah well.

I did miss off

It was years ago
Truth be told I don't know why everyone likes him. He is average without his superstars, like any other manager in football.

I don’t see anyone better than Askey to take over, he’s been unlucky with injuries but does need to sort this defence out

Maybe a back 4 with 2 full backs who can defend is the answer?

Surprised he's not tried 4,4,2 which is supposedly his preference.
Given we have no natural wide players maybe play Fergy, Wallace, Crawford, Seaman in front of Pruti (LB), Mani O, Lacey, Hendry(RB).
Josh & Mani D up top.
At least we'd be a bit more robust against opposition sides who attack down the wings with a bit of protection for the full backs, surely we'd be stopping more crosses into the box.

thats worth a try but his main problem is that his defenders are not that bad. its just individual errors that cost us and falling asleep occasionally as a unit. they do this and then have a reasonable game until another comes up with an error caused by not thinking. a real leader on the pitch with a footballing brain and a big gob would be very welcome.

In his latest post match interview JA says he is being tested and this is the most testing time he's had in his time in football. Sounds as if it's getting to him a little bit.
When the going gets tough the tough get going they say.
He thought we lost points at Alty rather than gained one.
I reckon we should have won but they had chances as well so maybe a draw was a fair result. A point away from home is always welcome Alty aren't a bad side and also played some good stuff.

He’s only cult status in your eyes.
In my eye’s he’s just a decent working manager, who promises you nowt but work.
I take it you don’t rate him then….?
