Funny thing is, the Town End was always well packed then, always looks half empty now.

If they get anymore in the NWC they’ll need to put a Plimsoll line on the side to check it’s stability..

You couldn’t help but like the bloke…I was laughing at Trigger getting annoyed when the ref disallowed Hugh’s first goal and made him retake it, from which he promptly scored…. Happy days.

Might be romanticising but seem to recall he once took a free kick, felled a defender in the wall and the ref made him take it again, which he did and promptly felled the same defender, the poor bstard

I’m sure he was seven feet tall and sent fireballs from his eyes, and bolts of lightning from his arse.

I’m not sure if anyone remembers Les Crook’s wonder goal in the 70-71 season of Hugh the Hammer proportions, a thunderbolt from the ginger midfielder at about 35 yards out, straight into the Rink End goal on a lovely sunny spring afternoon..and for some bizarre reason I was on the Mill House terrace.
Mind you, that was his sole contribution to the season
