As usual there was nothing on the box that interested me last night and was too hot to go to bed. Watched the extended highlights of Bury and there first 3 games. There was some decent goals and play, but what i enjoyed more was the rough and tumble of it all with tackles flying in and many of them illegal. Can understand why people turn their backs on the league game to watch old fashioned contact football, Might actually give it a go this season at Colne as its not far from me. You can actually take dogs in so it kills two things.

I went to Spennymoor last season and enjoyed it. Maybe will try FC Hartlepool this season as they have been promoted to the EBAC Northern League.

think there would be more there and everywhere else if the facilities were better. so many places are just a pitch with a small shed to keep the rain off for about 50 hardy souls.

Hopefully Hartlepool FC do well--be nice to see Pools providing support where we can--maybe even a pre-season friendly with proceeds split in a couple of years if they continue to improve.

Just as an interest I always look at

Football Web Pages (google that)

Although it also shows results etc from the top divisions it also has great content on the lower non leagues.

There was indeed 200+

It was a decent game, some good players at this level, and my biggest take home from the game , all the players where playing for the club, good competitive game.. and the officials had a decent game.

. unlike some of the dross seen in.. the abyss league we are now in .

Get yourselfs there when Pools aren't at home. £5 in £3 concessions a bargain. Season Ticket £75..£45 for concessions...Ex Forces...Nice.

I've got a season ticket and might get to just over half the games, but it's supporting a local team in a lower league.. for now.

Reckon South Shields will be challenging for Promotion. Maybe Spennymoor.
2 ambitious clubs.
Good luck to all the NEs non league clubs. Hopefully some are celebrating further rises up the pyramid.
How the times are a changing.
Never thought Pools Darlo n York would be out the EFL 15 years ago.
Funny old game.
UTP.

If it wasn’t for re-election we’d have been out sixty years ago!

possibly only rochdale have been luckier than pools have been for keeping their league status as long as they did. its not as if we are a luton and kicked out for one bad season with a massive points deduction.

Excellent starts for South Shields
Spennymoor n Blyth.
Would be good to see one of them get Promoted.
Not bad progress for former Northern League teams.

not sure i want any of them promoted unless we do. more local derby games but with those clubs possibly recruiting players at our expense.

South Shields will at some point come upto this level.

I thought Darlo where going too sooner rather than later aswell but they have had a horrendous start and lost most of their decent players.

would love to see a Whitby or Scarborough back in too - excellent days out for us them

Hopefully Pools will be back in the FL, before they get promoted.
