This could be a dodgy one, no Dodds or Mancini. Got a bad feeling we are going to lose 0-1

Let's see if they can show some character and step up to the plate and pull something out of the fire.

on the plus side they,ll have less of an idea how to set up against us than they would have had a week ago. lots of ifs or buts around to even guess the outcome of this. If umerah does not start against his old club and is still at the club then we should know he will not be with us much longer. hope i,m wrong but i,m plumping for a 1-3 defeat.

All this renewed speculation about Umerah is baffling. He missed 3 games due to suspension, was on the bench for Chesterfield - quite rightly as you don't change a winning team - and in that game we had a midfielder and 2 defenders go off injured. In other circumstances it was odds on Josh would have got on the pitch at some point.

I dont think Umerah is going anywhere - if so he would of gone by now.

Hes missed vital opening fixtures and managed a goal yeh which is a good return on on games played but hardly enough for anyone to come in for him now for me. If anything he will become some ones panic signing if they either are struggling to score goals or their striker gets injured.

But yeh i am slightly worried about this fixture now - we are back to struggling to fill the bench if Wallace and Lacey are still buggered too.

no news is good news though so we shall see.

im going with a solid 2-0 with Umerah notching against his former side !

0-1

Hope I am wrong but with the injury list piling up I can see this being a painful reverse.

According to the OS the injury worries are Dodds, Mancini and Wreh. Sounds like Wallace and Lacey will be fit to play on Saturday.

We [Charlton] played them a few weeks ago in a pre-season friendly, which we won 5-0, but they had a few trialists appearing for them, so hard to judge how good they are.
They also have two of our former youngsters in their squad who we released at the end of last season, one is defender Charlie Barker who is son of former Pools player Richie, the other is a forward named Charles Clayden, who had a couple of 1st team games for us at the beginning of last season.
If you play as well as last Saturday you should beat them despite your injury list.

they seem to have tightened up a bit at the back where in previous seasons they scored a few but conceeded more in many games.

No news from our end yet, but in my opinion he would be mad to to take the job with us [if offered] as we are in a complete shambles, on & off the pitch at the moment.
We have had 17 managers since Curbishley left us in May 2006.

Ward the Wealdstone keeper makes school boy Errors in last two games. 1st one a long range shot easy to save but he let's it go through his hands. 2nd was a high cross to near post nobody close to him as the ball dropped down for the simpliest of catches he throw it inside the near post. Two junior school mistakes confidence must be beyond low. Hope he plays and if he does play we need to get the shots and crosses in and let Ward win this game for us.

Whoa, sorry but that’s nonsense.
You make your own pressure on yourself, like a man who hammers nails into his own head then complains about the pain.
Sometimes I really do wonder.

Nonsense sctatchinghead.
Probably at most other clubs.
But this is Pools we talking about Snowy.
Remember beating Palace in the Cup 92ish then going 1200 odd minutes without scoring a goal.
We have history for freefallism.

Hope ya understand now.

Not a bad idea that Mr A
I like to think of myself as a glass half full
So it really would cater for the whole fanbase

That said, there are a few empty glass-ers
on here so could maybe have them incorporated in the background/ shadows where they tend to lurk!

We weren't a two man team before Dodds and Mancini got crocked and we're not one now. And we've still got one of the best managers in the division calling the shots.

Anyone claiming this afternoon's game is in any way, shape or form season defining is acting like a drama queen - and that'll still be the case even in Wealdstone nick a result.

If this was the last game of the season and we needed a point to win the league ( or avoid relegation(just to keep some happy))
Then it would be huge, This game will not define our season.

Sometimes it’s slow and reluctant to praise and ultra swift to criticise ….and it’s always been there.
We’ve won four of our opening six games, we’re up there but the praise from some is AWOL…It’s as though some wait for the things to go wrong, because that’s what they do.
An 87 year old woman chastised me in Clitheroe Market for stopping Ratboy growling at a cat…she said “he’s a terrier, it’s what they do” and the same applies to some fans, it’s genetic, they secretly celebrate failure.

The squeaky bum thing is natural amongst Pools Supporters, it can even be detected at birth.

We very rarely win a game comfortably - we are normally hanging on during injury time, preying we hold on for the win- typical Pools!

Christ that first 11

Ferguson back to being shoe horned into left center back ?

Grey still on above umerah

No Pruti, Lacey or Dolan (assume first 2 injured and latter binned off)
Good to see Jameson given a chance

Let’s hope wealdstone are shite

By all accounts according to the commentary Pools should have had wrapped the game up in the first half but allowed Wealdstone to come back into it in the second half.

We made life difficult for ourselves. Should have been in a comfortable lead by half time. Wealdstone came into the game more in the second but we still had chances to finish them off. Hanging on a bit in the end but a satisfying result all the same. Crawford Mom.

Glad to get my prediction wrong but when are we going to keep a clean sheet? Mind you I'll take 2-1 wins all season.

Err - no. The second was a header from Mani D off a Ferguson cross. What channel are you tuned to?

Not exactly a comfortable win in the end, we couldn't keep hold of the ball for the last 20 minutes. Manny O was the last line of defence too often and got a knock towards the end. Fingers crossed it's nothing.

Pools are still a threat going forward and should have scored more. Paterson worked his nuts off, but playing Fergie at centre back won't do. He only got forward for a cross a couple of times and the last one was perfect for Mani D to score.

Tom Crawford deservedly fans MoM. The way he's shaping up he could have a big season for us.

The crowd was disappointing - just over 4,000 and about 130 of them were Wealdstone. Looks like a fair few fair-weather fans didn't fancy it with Mancini and Dodds out.

All that mattered today was we won, we have wretched luck. Could of been 5 nil but we made ridiculously hard work of it pools style. Oxford next week another tricky game, any win will do at this moment in time until we bring players in
