Play like yesterday and we will come away with something but going for a well deserved

1-1 But a win would be fantastic!

Josh probably back in wrestling his way into another booking, he needs to take a look at Mani D and learn it's not all about strength but Gile.

pity this game has come so quickly after yesterday and the fitness of both teams and players availability may have an impact on the result. just cannot see em losing 2 on the bounce therefor 2-1 to the crooked spireites.

The pressures on them and not us, the media expect Chesterfield to walk the league after their recruitment and near misses over the last few seasons. If we can get the first goal their arses will collapse, hopefully.

Its looks like Dodds may be missing on Monday which will cause a bit of a shuffle, i would think he will put in Dolan for experience ahead of pruti he is to nieve.
One observation from yesterday altho we won at a canter is our first 10 minutes again we seem to start so slow its happened in all our games so far this season so Monday i just hope first 10 minutes we give them nothing and then just play the football we can play.
Anyways hopefully a good day out.

Cheater field fans seem unhappy, looks like they expecting the league and anything less they’ll be pissed
Maybe a good time to play them as the money they spent assume they will come good.

Take a 1-1 but suspect a 2-1 loss

if the worst did happen and we get a good spanking its just one game and we do not have to go there again this season. think there might be a few shock results today.

Whatever the result today.
Its been a very good August with on paper 3 difficult away fixtures out of the way.
September's fixture look slightly easier.
But like u said before October should tell us which direction we are going in.

I gave Hartley 10 games when we kicked off and I’ll see where we are with Askey after 10 games but obviously one looked like their ’experience’ was obviously from a Subuteo board with bits missing and the other one was a very competent football manager.
So far, so good.

Very tricky prediction and I reckon who scores first (probably be a 0-0 score now) will win.

Have a tenner @ 33-1 with us winning 3-2

Dodds out which is a shame as the link with him, Seaman and Mancini gets us a lot of overloads.
Interesting to see how Wallace does, thought Pruti would have been a more natural like for like, but given oppo maybe goe for experience/solidity

Big day for Grey--cant afford passengers so needs to get involved from the off and show the ability he does have without being bullied

I think that's Grey's weak point he doesn't go in where it hurt's maybe trying to avoid injury as he has suffered plenty over the years.

have to say havent been as nervous about a game in a long time.
Sounds from their board the manager has made the changes the fans wanted which is a little worrying!

Joe will be just fine. What him go from strength to strength this season. Every player improves when playing under JA. Keep the faith.

He might be playing 442 with Seaman at RB and Wallace in midfield.

I hope not, though you could be right--dont want to change too much around.

I think a straight swap means less confusion--expect Chesterfield to start strong so need to be organized especially to begin with...no slow starts this time !

2-1 halftime

Lovely first 10 mins but a tough rest of half

Chesterfiled are excellent going fwd but def vulnerable at the back---that palmer bloke runs in treacle

Real shame about Mancini as he would revel in the space.....looked like a hamstring so likely a few weeks out

Mani D been excellent

We dont win this witout scoring again

We've been missing Mancini's energy and clever link up ever since he went off. Need to grind out a result 2nd half but there is always a chance we'll get another one on the break.

odd substitution for me. we seemed to hand the initiative to them when mancini went off. preferred umerah or hastie on. gray needs to come off shortly in the second half if crawford is fully fit after that tackle. this game is showing out lightweight the lad is.

Sign of a good player is he makes everyone look better--really hope hes not out too long--ie a pull and not a tear

Assume Josh will come on for Grey (who did well for 2nd goal) at some point early in the 2nd half

Cooke also struggling to get any space and with the physical side...2 games in 2 days and the 2nd game being hardest of the season is annoying but is what it is

exactly. 3 odd substitutions at the time they happened. gifted em all 3 points for me. the change in the game was mancini going off and just hope it was a precaution rather than a few weeks out.

Very frustarting game--combinattion of psychology of being 2 up so early, tiredness from turnaround, Mancini injury and Chesterfield being a very good side meant we didnt look ourselves at all (apart from first 10 mins) and cant really argue the better team won.

More concerned about Mancini Injury than losing----hopefully not out for too long
Thought Chesterfiled had a lot of really good players and would be surprised if they didnt win the league--lads need to pick themselves up and not be too donwhearted.
Colclough, Kind and Mandeville for them were all excellent players

RATINGS---with the caveat it was 2 games in 3 days which clearly had an effect

Dixon 6 --one weired moment when he was glued to his line

Fergsuon 7 did very well against good opponents
Seaman 4 --Up against a really good player but didnt stop a cross--would have loved to see Sterry v Colclough--tried his best but a day to forget

Mani O- 7 v good again
Lacy 7 Defended well
Wallace 6 made a fool of by Mandeville a couple of times but wont be the only one this season
Pruti 7 did nowt wrong

Mancini (NA) thouggh great goal - huge loss and a game changer when he went off
Cooke 5- struggled but did his best
Crafrod 7 did well again and go stuck in

Grey 6 nice assist but too lightweight
Mani D 8 MOM--great hold up play and took his goal well

Word on ither subs, thought Hastie did well when he came on credit where due

Overall we saw today (with a few mitigating circumstances) how we struggle when we have a few players out---I would put Dodds wing back if Mancini out for a bit to give us a bit more going fwd.

Probably the hardest game of the season out of the way

think he was going 4-3-3 and trying to win it.
As I say in some ways terrible to lose after being 2 up etc but not a normal game.

If Chesterfiled sell one of their excellent wide players (they had like 4 with subs) and buy a centre back who can run then they will win teh league by March

Think Chesterfield fans prob dont get how lucky they got Mancini going off--he stays on we would have had a very diff game....though in fairness they'll prob pint out that may make us too reliant on 1 player.

Well we now know how much we are dependent on a fit Mancini. Two up and if we had a midfielder on the bench we could have had a chance of holding out. You need to strengthen the midfield and central defence.

Injuries and suspensions are going to be the key, We need more cover virtually all over the pitch.
Great start and we nearly pinched a point but if any confirmation was needed to highlight where we are light in the squad, we got it today.
Back on track on Saturday.
