I really enjoyed watching yesterdays game. First time I’ve seen our team visually this season. What a transformation. Never seen Callum Cooke play so well. He was even better than Mancini. Mani is a great centre forward gets in to great areas. Ferguson seems to have a new lease of life. The defence is beginning to show improvement and I love the link up play from Pools. Askey has imposed a swagger on this team which I would never have thought possible 12 months ago. I know Fylde where not particularly tight and we will have sterner tests but the confidence was clear to see. Good that we now have a team full of pace and creativity with goals galore in all areas. Loved it. Well done Askey on the way to being a Poolie legend. I know it’s only August but the transformation is unbelievable. Charlie Seaman looks great going forward and everyone seems to know what their role is and how to execute their duties. Hope Daniel Dodds is ok for Chesterfield . Finally well done Singh . You won’t regret giving this manager that contract he is top notch. No doubt about it. Just wish I could watch more matches audio not the same. I felt very proud last night watching and worth it losing some sleep.

Its exciting to watch, finally a team with a bit of pace creativity, flair. If we can get a result tommorow then maybe we can just dream a little. But whatever happens its light years ahead of last seasons dross.

It is light years ahead Billingham. I’ve just watched the highlights again. Love it that we are on the front foot the majority of the time and slick passing. All thanks to John Askey. It’s going to be interesting now how Askey replenishes the squad as we don’t have enough cover at the moment. Still I’ve got every confidence in the guy. I wouldn’t mind seeing that interview with him again at the end of the match with BT or whatever they are called now

had to rely upon radio tees and it gave the impression of apart from a couple of spells in the game and our usual falling asleep to give a goal away we were in complete control. By the sound of it we should have scored more and i,m sure we,ll give some side a real hammering at the vic when everything does come off. the points we have are there for keeps and you can only play whats infront of you. just a bit of extra recruitment at the back would not come amiss to improve or cover any injuries we are sure to pick up.

Yep could have scored 6 or 7. But so good to watch and easy on the eye.

The defence is getting there. Probably about 10% improvement. Liked the look of the other Mani in defence too.

We are watching a confident team, comfortable in their own ability…I don’t recall seeing a Pools team for a few years with such belief in themselves…..and a stunning work rate.

A lot of teams are not going to live with us with that work rate and fitness levels

Tony Sweeney was saying in his pre-match interview on Tees how valuable the individual GPS tracking on players is for setting them personal fitness targets and keeping them up to the mark. An example of the true worth of modern sport technology.

Sweens must have been grinding his teeth right through his months of being sidelined by that fuckwit Hartley, who put out sides that were blowing out of their arses after 70 minutes.

Being 6 hours in front here it was a bit late to be staying up, for some reason I woke up around 2 meaning the game was over. I tentatively turned my tablet on to see what the score was, wow 3-1, I couldn’t get back to sleep for ages searching out for reports on the game. Hopefully I can get a live commentary for Mondays game.

Just bite the bullet and pay for the audio. It’s only £1 per week and takes of the stress of searching through the BBC apps. Can’t be bothered with it

I think one thing that came from both this and the Maidenhead game is that we are dealing with the lesser sides quite comfortably, something we failed to do when we first came into the league. Yesterday felt like once we got ahead, we were never in any danger of losing it.
