One fan just said we only 11 points behind playoffs with 126 points to play for. When you look at it positively there is no reason why Southend cannot finish top 7 in this weak league dafter things happen.

Been on holiday with the family this week - but managed to pick up the commentary of the game on Saturday. I was like a dog with 2 dicks, when we held on for the win from being 2-1 down, enabling me to claim family bragging rights! clappp rolf

The Outlaws were at the game and said that Mancini was brilliant for us.

As far as the winding up order is concerned - I think there fucked. Martin (chairman) has the money, but won't part with it. And now the cheeky fucker is lodging an appeal against the points deduction!

Think his idea of an Aussie coming into buy the club is a fantasy- why would someone with no apparent links to the club/ region buy the club in that state? Surely said investor would just wait for it to be liquidated and then pick it up for a song, instead of wasting 2 and a half million on settling it's debts first? sctatchinghead

Also have to say that I'm very disappointed with the silence from Stan Collymore.
He had plenty to say previously, but has been bought off by the chairman Slippery Ron and installed as Director of Football - not entirely sure what that involves given they haven't been able to sign a player in well over a year (including existing ones)! sctatchinghead

the question that always enters my head is if southend are eventually kicked out of the league that could be the end of them and all the fans who have a love for their club the same as we have for ours. they might set up a pheonix club but there is no guarentee of that. all the full force of the law should come down on the head of its owner martin who is the cause of the problem. strip him of all his assets even the ones he has attempted to hide by changing there ownership and put him in jail to pay back everything else once he comes out. not a single fan or those employed at the club has caused any of this, but they,ll be the ones to suffer the most and martin will just walk away in the same way those who bankrupt their businesses do and set up afain under another name quickly after.

Completely agree Mr A.
From what I understand he's one of those cheeky fuckers, whose hidden the majority of his cash in The Cayman Islands or similar tax haven. Should they fold, which I think is a strong possibility given his piss poor reckless conduct, then he should be jailed.

Nothing will change until these cowboys like Martin and Cockall (who are just asset stripping clubs of our stature), see that they'll be doing porridge for Fraud, rather than riding off into the sunset with the family silver! refred

its not just in football this is going on. a few years ago i knew a vile individual who laughed at the situation of him going bankruped in a HGV repair business on friday and telling his customers he is starting up on the monday afterwards in premises across the road. i knew him from my teens and was always giving him an excuse to take a swing at me in different pubs when he always seemed to be where i was but never took me on. i sussed him then and just wanted him to throw the first punch. only person in my lifetime i have ever done this to.

When the Hillcarter was being made into a hotel who ever was behind it, I know his name but won’t mention it racked up nearly £40k debt with a local Electrical Wholesaler bankrupting them, the hotel still opened for business though.
