Escape Goat T-Shirts

Postby Gibsons Beard » Sat Aug 18, 2007 11:15 pm

I have re-created the escape goat logo and have come up with a few templates for the t-shirt.

I would appreciate it if people would have a look and let me know what you think.

Any ideas/recommendations wouild be greatfully received.

the only problem with polo shirts is they wont print the same as a t shirt unless you are going for embroider
which will cost more but discount for bulk orders might help
you also need a quality t shirt [torque] are good stuff we used them for the bizz stuff

The Tit badge on a decent quality T-shirt looks great to me. Would quite fancy buying a couple extra for our bar staff to wear as their "uniform"....!!

I like the top one the most personally.

Thought about making a shop on Spreadshirt? They provide the shirts and print them for you - like the Bunker shop me and Gaunt sadly neglected due to lack of time to commit to it. You could host it on our account by all means - plenty of stuff to choose from. Saves you taking orders or making certain sizes in hope that people buy them

EDIT: in fact you could make several different designs and people could choose which one they wanted.

Found the shop! Link is here: http://www.spreadshirt.net/shop.php?sid=235194

There seems to be a demand both for Ts (for the scruffy bunkerites ) and for Polos (for us classy ones )

I've just been browsing and there are any number of UK sites where you can order custom polos, embroidery included, for £9-£11.

For example white with blue trim available in both these models:

http://www.anyembroidery.com/poloshirts/nine.html
http://www.anyembroidery.com/poloshirts/seven.html

If you want, and assuming Daniel Gaunt is fine with it, you can use our details. Make it non-profit and such. Obviously I don't think they do embroidery but look into Montpoolier's links for that.

I'm here until tomorrow lunchtime then I'm away from the internet until Saturday, so let me know if you want our details!

Right, just testing the water here but I found a decent online company who do personalised t-shirts etc. They are called the t-shirt studio and their addy is: http://www.tshirtstudio.com/personalised/youdesign.asp

While the quality looks top-notch and they offer a range of t-shirts, polo shirts and even womens ones they are pretty steep.

The cost per garment is approx £18 but this would no doubt be cheaper if we were to get a batch made up.

Is this too steep?

Here are some images:

Womens t-shirt:

Oh and I nearly forgot, this is the womens one following a heavy downpour..

Please let me know what you think.

dibble might put me right on this but is that justport the company we got the kids kit from?
i am sure you can get a quality t shirt/polo in numbers cheaper than 18 pounds plus embroider
initially you should register your logo design as once they start selling Primark would be full of them at two quid a go complete wit escapegoat logo
also you need to pay an initial fee to set up your logo to be embroidered to the company doing them it remains your property for two years then you need to register it again
the cost of each embroider depends on the quality and that is governed by the number of stitches they use
some of you military men look at your badges and see the quality compared to every day stuff
bizz had some stuff done by crest which probably was ok but then we got some done through a friend who shall remain nameless till he gets back from Cuba and out of the storm
now this stuff was the bizz far out lasted the crest polo's and still looks good today [torque polp shirts]
looking at your sample you have something like eight or nine colours overall there so it wont come cheap or if it does you lose on quality unless you can cut that down some way
e; change the horns to body colour make the spade the same blue as your shirt etc but you need to talk to the people doing it for advice on that
JUST POINTING OUT THE PIT FALLS

Re: Escape Goat T-Shirts

The way I see it, the problem with polo shirts is that the logo will not look as good. I think if we start reducing the colours etc in the image to reduce the cost then the polo shirts will simply look like any other 'stag weekend' type shirts that all and sundry get made from time to time.

The whole point of this was to create a design which would look proffessional, otherwise I dont really see the point in doing it. I dont want this to appear tacky or cheap like we are part of some star wars convention or something.

I have not seen HUFC's polo shirts in a while but from what I recall even they looked a bit naff beacuse of the embroidered logo.

I have no problem with doing polo shirts but we need to make sure that any embroidary can do a decent job of Mr Escape Goat. You guys seem to have used this company before hence you could tell me if the finished product would look ok or not.

I'd be more inclined to buy one if they didn't have owt on the back.

In fact I'd definitely buy one without anything stuck on the back.

Otherwise it just looks tacky.

In fact, for want of making things different again, why not centre a larger image of Mr Goat and add the words "Escape Goat Tour 2007-08" under him?

A tit badge on a t-shirt looks a bit wrong, they're more a polo shirt type of thing but like you say the embroidery thing for the polo shirt makes that a bit trickier.

You could end up with a t-shirt trying to look like a polo shirt and looking cheap otherwise. A t-shirt should look like a t-shirt, if you know what I mean?

You can get good looking embroidery. I have the proof of that in the various brewer's polo shirts I got given when I had the pub - they all look excellent.

The question is, how much are people willing to pay for one? I'd pay 20 quid for good quality but let's have a consensus.

As for the tee shirts I don't wear white tee shirts myself but it seems obvious to me you want a big printed design in the middle for those.

Give these a call.

Crest Identity - 01429 233533

They can supply the clothing and do the embroidery aswell. They're based in Hartlepool, so you are able to go in and sample the quality for yourself before you make a decision.

It's run by a man called Grahame Jewson, who used to own Jewsons Sport Shop in the town years ago.

Not sure how much they charge, but it's worth a shot. Especially if they are a Hartlepool company, as they might do a discount!

i refer the lady to my post earlier of the two we purchased [monkey bizz ] both t shirts and polos were better quality
if you want a polo to look baggy or bobbled after the first wash then by all means go to Crest
as said in another post Graham has not got the control at Crest now
we need to send out some art work and get some prices for both printing t shirts and embroider both t shirts and polos

I always drive to away games. Been on the HUDSA coach once a couple of seasons ago when we played Brentford for the last game of the season. - Oh, and the Darlo game.

I did go to the Masters this year.

I did go to Rochdale, but to be honest, who didn't?

I like kebabs, but you can tell that just by reading the threads.

I am blonde, but you can tell that just by reading the threads.

I have heard of Muttley, but only met him once.

I go in the White House, but you can tell that just by reading the threads.

I drink beer, larger, wine, spirits.
