If there’s one thing I’m sick of it’s bloody Wrexham, the media’s favourite team,
One good thing to come out of this swaggering circus will be every club they play will want to beat them….or the love affair ends.

Agree Snowy. To a lesser extent it will be all Stockport tomorrow with Pools an afterthought. Wrexham have some parallels with Stockport in that all their hype and media offerings they were or are going to walk from The National League up through the divisions. We shall see.

Funny thing is, both clubs were going nowhere till sugar daddies topped in.

A lot like Pools when the Norwegian and IOR walked into our football supporter lives.

Look on the bright a couple of film stars might come in for Pools after the publicity the Wrexham 2 have had, there must be a film star out there who likes football ?

i agree with him but not jealous one single bit. its fine for any club going on the up but would you want to sit with strangers at the vic week in week out who have never been even to the town before latching on to media hype who,ll leave the club at the first sign of dropping points. its like those who follow premier league success and change clubs at the drop of a few defeats. would be even worse for us who do go now and live well out of town. we,ll be accused of this as well.

Look at the buzz it's brought around Wrexham though, the good these two guys have done not just for the football club, but to some of the people in the town as well. While we're getting butchered at a maidenhead next season , there ground will be rammed beating most teams they play while we will just be plodding on towards derby's with Spennymoor darlo and South shields the following season.

Excellent article from N Loughlin May 6th
(could be northern echo)
From Deadpool to Dead Pools.
More or less tells you everything you need to know about Pools Demise.
Puts to bed some of the rumours truths n untruths posted on Social media.
Liddle knocked Pools back because he was offered a pay rise n 2 year contract from South Shields.

Sure someone on here knows how to put the link up.

Didn't I get dogs abuse of a certain member for saying liddle was getting more money at South shields than at Pools. Little rumour that another Pools player will be joining him this pre season at South shields as well, though our budget is a third higher than when we got promoted. Yeah of course its going to be.

The article you were looking for, Laughlin doesn’t work for Echo now.
https://hufc-never-say-die.blogspot.com ... on-of.html

Am I reading the article wrong Loughlin says Lee was sacked then Hartley was brought in, it was the other way round.

In the IOR days Loughlin/Northern Echo got banned from the ground for comments in the Echo.

Loughlin's screed is 10 times longer than a newspaper article. He could do with a sub-editor!

Shame he wasn't so outspoken when he was Gary Coxall's unofficial PR man, but there's some good stuff in there, especially about the ignorant Scottish pisshead Hartley.
