If they visited Hartlepool, why would they drive down Church Street on the way to the Vic…..I was looking at a number of vlogs last week and most were actually quite impressed by the town and tended to praise places like the Marina and the coastline location and if you think Church Street is that bad try getting around this country a bit more and get your eyes opened.

Snowy what has Church got to offer, full of derelict buildings, hundreds of thousands of our money spent on it over the years, it hasn’t actually attracted any investors has it ? There are some beautiful old buildings but they are lying empty some boarded up like the Shades.
I can’t imagine the yanks would fly across the Atlantic and just visit the ground, they would have looked at the area first.

still would not trump the fact that wrexham is in a country with only 3 other league clubs and no top class non league ones either. they are not a ppols or even a mansfield, two typical english lower league clubs at best. being welsh seems a big thing in wales and its there only north welsh club around of any size. they,ll be able to stage the odd weles international bringing football to the whole of wales not just the south. doubt there would have been as much media or even local interest if they had took over an english non league or lower division club.

Have you ever been to Wrexham town centre? It makes Church street look like Mayfair.

Hiram B Moneybags Jr….Club has potential, great people great fans and I felt really at home and thought this is the club I’m gonna take places, then this guy contacted me and told me of Church St and I flew out on my gold chopper real fast, never to return

Rich Yank 1…. Ah, so you met Jamie then

j ust a thought about the whole affair. we all want success in our lives and at pools but at what cost. hate to think we would sell our soul to some arab or yank to achieve it. even with a small proportion of the wrexham publicity we,d be accused of jumping on the band wagon even when we hadn,t with the new bright and shiny vic being infaltrated by strangers from many miles away making up stories about their local ancestry and ending up the majority of poolies.

I offered them a tour in my Reliant Robin but they declined, seriously did they ever visit the town to look at the ground, I doubt it.

Yes can we please have a link to that Jeff Stellng quote mr billinghampoolie?
Just doesnt strike me as something Jeff would say.
To be candid with you this stuff about us missing out on hollywood heaven has become bit of an urban myth i think, for use by those with an agenda with Mr Singh as a means to stir up more trouble amongst the clubs supporters.
Getting a bit tedious if I'm honest especially given our circumstances now with relegation.
And of course doesn't fit in with what the bloke involved in sorting it all out actually said about it now does it?

So a year or so ago the Hollywood thing was all bollocks. Then we hear slight interest, now we here they offered 500 k unless jeff is lying of course. I get the feeling raj Singh will take some shifting.
"But I had nothing else to do so I went on Wikipedia and Football Manager and Football Manager, as we know, is an incredible database of information that’s quite hard to find elsewhere and I picked out eight to 10 clubs in the National League, National League North and South and League Two."

“I think I've named some of them, so Hartlepool was one we looked at vaguely, Macclesfield was talked about. There was a couple who were talked about that were in trouble."

So all we were was just …’vague’, if true, we can put that rumour to bed, tuck it in and tell it a story, because we’ve been told one.

Can't we do a Brian Clough and go around all the pubs and clubs in town with a tin? Granted there are probably not half the pubs now as to when he pulled that stunt.
