To be sworn in the comfort of your own home, pub or garden party (precious few of them going on) while watching the coronation on TV.

Sounds to me like a desperate royalist ploy to shore up the popularity of Charlie and his former married bit on the side, now Queen Camilla. But what do other Bunkerites think? Ready for a break from the all the relegation threads? I know I am.

She who must be obeyed will be watching it, I shall be in my bunker with Ratboy and my feet up. Pig heaven.
It’s all a harmless pantomime to me and I’ll be giving my oath of loyalty to me.

Yes i think it is a bit of a harmless panto too but i really hope it is the start of a considerable slimming down of the royal family.
Its good for tourism but no one has a divine right.
It would be good if it eventually become like the Scandinavian model where its possible to be sitting in a bar talking to a bloke and you ask him what he does for a living and he tells you he is the King

I couldn’t give a monkeys really. The royal family is an outdated institution. I would be happier with the Scandinavian model. It’s a scandal really with millions struggling to heat or eat that the UK wastes billions on a family which we didn’t even elect .

Absolutely zero interest in the Royals and wont swearing any oaths apart from those aimed at those individuals in the blue and white stripes who let us all down so abjectly.

Any criticism towards the royals always brings the reply they contribute millions through tourism, I think the Mail is the worst offender, its full in your face about the royals, it’s a magazine not a newspaper and if you are a royalist you will buy it everyday, me I wouldn’t use it for toilet paper.

Charlie boy and his lot grabbed all the land across 100's of years and left us "peasants" with bugger all to share amongst us.

Wouldn't watch this crap pantomime if it was running in my back garden.

Expect a whole load of body language experts to pop up in the gossip sections. Who glared at who at the coronation.I can't wait for the Chat magazine to come out..

I gave my oath of allegiance in 1980 to the Queen. I stood by it as many did and went off to war a couple of times on the strength of it. I see no reason to repeat it as it never had an expiry date first time round and I refuse to cheapen it for a silly publicity idea.

The House of Lords is another gravey train.

well we are going out before it starts and plan to stay out until its over. probebly going to either burnley or bradford as i doubt they are bastions of the monarchy. its not big ears and audrey from corrie i have an issue with its the whole bloody fawning industry they create. its each to their own but cannot understand anyone being interested in it. as for the oath of allegence, it should be to the whole country and not a single person who through a family tree becomes a monarch.

The house of loads is another gravy train. And the argument that the royal family brings in loads of tourists is bollocks because the amount it costs to keep jug ears and his family far outweighs what we receive in tourism. Sure some tourists come to London and Edinburgh to share in our traditions but an unelected head of state is dated in the 21st century. A scaled down Scandinavian version would be acceptable or some sort of figure head like a president. But the peasants will be out there in numbers in London saying oh look how nice and regal they look. I couldn’t give a toss.

Bloody hell I didn’t realise it was 3 days of events ! The only thing I remember about any royal event was Camerons Crown Ale, a real leg collapsing drink, loved it.

Do you have to take the Oath while standing on one leg smoking a Churchillian cigar?

I'd not considered that option, but the more I think about it the better an idea it sounds.

I do love a cigar, and Saturday is my birthday.

Is the standing on one leg optional..?

Is standing on two legs double allegiance and has there been a medal struck for that.
