With a hot chocolate in his hand no doubt, I've a feeling Cove Rangers might be looking for a new manager soon too.

Since Hartley took over at Cove back in January they have scored 6 goals and conceded an unbelievable 34, does make you wonder if his first spell there had a Harrisonesque (TNS) touch about it.

do not know who was the worst appointment, hartley, curle or jim bentley at rochdale. someone who got legend status at morecambe for one thing, avoiding the drop back into non league season after season. are rochdales hopes actually lower than pools.

The record shows that Keith Curle did a marginally better job than Paul Hartley.

Leaving out Muzza, who was only manager for 6 weeks, Hartley's points per game return is worse than every Pools manager since 3 points for a win came in in 1981, apart from the utterly useless Mike Docherty.

Curle has a whole bunch of incompetents below him, including Dave Jones, David McCreery, John McPhail, Viv Busby, Bob Moncur and, sadly, Neale Cooper in his second spell.

Bob Moncur…..is it true he was sending semaphore messages to the bench on match days with instructions while offshore on his yacht….?

From our performances under him the Cabin Boy was obviously dyslexic.

Seems Mr Hartley is well out of his depth even at that level (lets not forget they have moved up a league since his last days there).

his level is clearly part time and training part timers to play in what can only be described as wearside level football
