Good entertaining end to end game.
Already relying on favours from Wimvledon n Swindon.
Deffo improvement of system under JA but still require a miracle to avoid the drop.

World class goal from Kemp.

Again he impresses the Bradford commentators:

“What on Earth is he doing in this division?”

If we weren't in such a desperate situation, a draw away at a promotion chasing team would have been a good result. As it is its another nail in the relegation coffin.

Not going to be disappointed by another away draw at side chasing the play-offs. Good away point, unbeaten in 4, Askey has transformed this team. Just need that first win and others will follow.

Ratings

Keeper 6 -- Defends crosses as well as Killip, couple of good saves

Sterry-6 not great defnesively but good link up play--great assist for 2nd goal
Ferguson 7 - Battled away well against a good opponent

Murray 7 Best game by a mile--might even shut me up--enjoyed him foulikng their keeper last minute to stop a quick kick as well
Pruti 5 - struggled today
Dodds 6 -good going fwd but lost a few balls that could be costly

Sylla 8 MOM--sign him up for next season
Kemp 7 Great goal and clearly too good for this league
Cooke 7--Likewise great goal and tried to use the ball well

Jennings 6 Battled away
Umerah 5-got nothing out of Bradford defenders--kept trying but game to forget

Back to praying Crawley lose

Irrespective of everything it was a good result. Bradford had several chances that they should have scored. Best performance I’ve seen from Pools for a long while which augurs well for the remaining games. Bottom line is that if we continue to play like that, we’ll be ok.

Would agree with your ratings. Pools playing better every game. Better link up play. At least we have a midfield. Agree Sterry good going forward but not at the races defensively. Sylla fantastic and Murray again commanding. Better than Firan and Hartley. Enjoyed the game. At least we are trying.

Other bad news; I’ve watched the last ten minutes of the Crawley game and the Wimbledon commentators reckon this is their worst performance of the season. No sign whatsoever of an equaliser.

Crawley play Rochdale next weekend, could easily be 7 points behind them by end of month. Colchester just equalised against Orient. Looking like us and Rochdale for the drop

7 points behind Harrogate with 9 to play realistically they are gone,
Looking to need 6 wins out of 9 which let’s be honest there is no evidence we are close to capable of

Today we went toe to toe with a good team pools are starting to play some good football and look a good team.
The atmosphere was really good our only down side today was the final ball needs to improve.
Overall great day a draw probably a fair result how ever such a shame they had cook and we didn't....

Cheap Excuse but no malice intented.
Big picture is rewind to why DC left.
No ambition n cheap as chips wages from Sing.
Basically trying to operate a league club on a non league Structure..
Wont name names for obvious reasons but been leaked by former employees how bad the wages on offer are a joke.
Its game over to the EFL.
Past careing now :angry-tappingfoot:

If only we could defend!!

We played well today, looked a threat going forward, midfield did really well but we just simply cannot keep teams out. We know their threat is Andy cook, probably their only real threat so why not stick with him like glue, all they do is play off him so don't give him an inch. Yes good players find space etc but after we scored the second someone had to stay on him so it's disappointing. Few really good performances today, sylla was fantastic, Dodds did really well, Ferguson had a great game, Cooke and Kemp offered a threat going forward, Jennings another good shift as well. Sterry looks off the pace for me, he looks low on confidence and his decision making at times is questionable, just doesn't look like he's enjoying it. The defence in general look ok but they just switch off at crucial times and the opposition often get a shot off. Definite improvement again but it could be too late unfortunately unless we can string some wins together. Oh and what a rotten place Bradford is for parking, absolute nightmare!!

Sterry is very good going forward but defensively I think injuries/match fitness might have taken it's toll. He got beaten by back post balls about 5 times today and a goal was always going to come from one.

If JA had been recruited at the time he left York, last November, I think we would be comfortably in mid table.

I think a combination of KC & Raj have doomed us to the National League for next season, which is notoriously hard to get out from.

I see the Fat Lady has just started to open her mouth ready to sing!

As Private Frazer from Dad's Army would say we are all doomed.

If we go down we go down, we've been down there before in tougher conditions (club on the the verge of going bust, no manager). Plus it looks like all the money clubs will be gone by next season from the NL, and the prospect of 3 promotion spots is on the table from the EFL.
In my head I'd written this season off after 10 games under Hartley, playing some of the worst football I've seen.
Whatever happens we need to keep Askey in place and back him. He's got a group of players that looked hopeless against Newport only a month ago looking like a good football team competing with promotion pushing teams.

The most important thing is Raj keeping hold of the players who have quality about them. Cooke/Sylla/Dodds/Fergie etc would all be extremely good players in that league. I expect Umerah to go no matter what, decent bids will come in for him.

I said some months ago that under Hartley we where playing northern league standard football.
In the space of weeks we are now playing at least mid table conference level so that’s a massive improvement. We are going down because we can’t keep the barn door shut but at least we are improving. Askey needs to stay but we have a big squad. How long are the contracts. Could be at least 5 years in the conference . It’s Raj to blame and to be fair he has taken responsibility. Lessons learned. Let’s just enjoy what’s left of the season. Great supporters you where heard. They deserve medals

Personally I think Sterry is just seeing the season out, he will be a free agent and has probably been tapped up already.

Spot on Mr Jamie, noticed this for a while. He appears to be looking at new horizons and we don’t figure, going through the motions and not getting 100% from him by a long mark.

Sterry clearly not committed to the cause.
Probably got a 4 year deal lined up with South Shields.
We need 3 wins in a row now.
Major Miracle in my book.
