Interesting stat that though.

It was shite, the quicker it gets sorted out & we get back to normal the better.

Most people commented on the lack of shite. I suppose it depends on what you are looking for.
Personally I would rather have wall to wall football but each to their own.
Unless you are saying the football was shite?? I'm afraid no amount of punditry can make the football better if that is the case.
I didn't watch it so can't really give an opinion on the actual programme but thanks for replying.

I watched both M.O.T.D and it was great, no pissing about fast forwarding with the remote or listening to drivel, all done and dusted in 20 minutes!! Stick with this format and sack the twats!

What I don't understand is, why is it always the British who are expected to comply with foreign culture in our own country. Shouldn't immigrants, of any religion/culture, in any part of the world, be expected to respect the culture of the country they have chosen to move to.

So you must be eating bbq food and drinking Fosters all the time now Mick! bbolt :-D

Quite a lot of people are agreeing with you Mr Blue. I certainly wouldn't shed a tear if they were done away with. Ridiculous amounts of money and for what. Use the time to show more football which is what most people want to see. The most the programme needs is an announcer of each match which needs a few seconds max.

Looks like he's back and has agreed to behave himself while a review of the "grey areas" of the guidelines takes place.

A few of the games streamed ‘illegally’ don’t have commentary, if it’s foreign language I mute it, perfect for me.
What do these pundits actually do, Clough stated they ruined MOTD with their boring in depth analysis
Getting beyond a joke now, I have turned the radio off, Lineker, Lineker etc, people dying in their thousands in the world and it’s in your face every minute yet we are discussing a sentence on Twitter day in day out.

M.O.D was great when there was little or no football on tv but now live football is available 7 days a week therefore M.O.D is not the attraction it was once.

One of Lineker’s admirers on the news this morning said the public were unhappy and enjoyed the punditry and post match discussions. Really….?
How did we manage at Pools to watch the match without a commentary.
The only people who miss these clowns are the super fans who follow their Premiership team devotedly on the box, people who have probably went to a lower league match because their egocentric insecurity couldn’t cope.
They need the Linekers to tell them what to think.

Typical BBC. Abject, miserable capitulation to Lineker and his mates which legitimizes Lineker's implication that the government of this country is akin to Nazis. I'm not a Tory but object strongly to this sanctimonious, virtue signaller actually getting away with his bull shit.

The punditry in a normal MOTD should be a lot less than it is, but I wasn't keen on watching the games without a commentator, some are better than others, but a top commentator adds to the experience, like Motty used to.

You mean you actually like Liniker and Shearer. sctatchinghead

I don't really like or dislike any of the presenters or pundits, some are better than others. I don't get to Pools very often now due to health issues, so my only option of watching some football is on BT Sport or MOTD, so I take the opportunity to do this every week & I thought that this weekend's MOTD was very poor compared to normal. My opinion seems to be different to the majority, but that's what makes us all individuals!!

without any commentary you do not know who the players are. what gets me with them apart from stating the obvious is their voices getting raised when certain players, harry kane the usual suspect, touches the ball. it might be me but going to a non pools game without a programme or hearing the players announced before there was squad numbers lost part of the interest in the game for a start.

Do you expect a commentary at Pools when watching the match…no. You watch it and draw your own conclusions.
Works for me.

When watching live and listening to a commentary there is always a time difference.

Some years back someone in front of me was watching a Preiership match on his phone…I actually mentioned it on the Bunker and got a post asking me what it had to do within me from the lads father…he said it was because Pools were kicking towards the Town Rnd and you can’t see anything sctatchinghead

You’d have to be a bit think to do it though…a bit like having sex while someone’s sat next to you giving a running commentary. Replays could be a problem though bbolt .

Back in the days when a transistor radio was the only way to keep up with the what was happening around the grounds, you could guarantee that you'd be in earshot of some pillock or other who thought listening to Final Score was more interesting than watching the closing stages at the Vic :angry-tappingfoot:

The annoying thing is that half the time the buggers were right

be a great programme on the sex channel with action replays of the eventual goal going in. could have adverts for headache pills in the intervals.
