let's get it done and dusted again.

Pools loss can't predict the score just know we are incapable of winning any game with Curle's tactics and team selection.

I wonder what the bookies odds are for us winning the National league next season. banghead :angry-screaming: rakxe

one good thing about last night was its saved me money coming up for the walsall game and even bothering to get the ifollow audio. be interested especially if curle is still here how many others will swerve the game and the more that do will surely push raj to get his P45 ready.

Watch for white smoke from the Vic. …..?
Trouble is, who would want the job at this late stage and probably have a relegation on your CV….and try to organise a team of misfits.
.Curle has had ample time to put things right and failed.
Our last relegation to the National League came on the final day after a season of chaos off the pitch….but this season has been shite from day one.

A keeper with no previous league experience, two young centre halves with no league experience, a centre half at the end of his career, a midfielder with no previous league experience and a forward who's well past the end of his career, that was a masterstroke of a window, when I heard Dodds wasn't playing last night the writing was on the wall.

thought the keeper had some previous league experiance but you are correct on the rest. clarke for a start should not be allowed to wear the clubs jersey ever again and expect a call from help the aged if he does.

Curle is saying we must win on Saturday. Now, I understand as the manager he has to say that but by hell it sounds so hollow when he has just watched his team play for 90+ minutes and not muster a single shot on target. I mean its not like we were playing promotion contenders. By the way God help us when we do.

If their keeper had of stayed on the team coach last night they still would have won, annoyingly it was Newport who dumped us out of the league last time so you'd think we would've been up for the fight last night, we were totally inept all over the pitch, we had a flood of corners at one point and never tested the keeper once. Like I said last night I'm swerving Saturday as I'm not prepared to be insulted by performances like that.
At the end of the day I turn up to be entertained not annoyed, I'm still seething now.

When I said watch out for the white smoke from the Vic earlier in this topic I had no idea I’d connected to a higher authority

Does the higher authority have a prediction for Saturday?

team selection for this is going to be really interesting especially if askey has been watching pools. there is usually one regular that seems to miss out for a new manager and a second chance for one who has been left out in the cold. wonder also if there could be a miracle with some injured players suddenly becoming fit again.

Apparently he prefers 4-3-3, which would suggest the same back four we had the other night, interesting to see what he does further up the field though…

My memories of Walsall was when they beat us 5-0 at the Vic, I think West was playing for Walsall and scored, give him his due he didn’t celebrate the goal.

Not expecting miracles, he will only have had part of Thursday and all of Friday to work with the players. I guess he will have got the sp from Sweeney and will take it from there. Walsall could well be a bit soon for the miracle to start working but like everyone else, fingers and toes crossed. Also, praying for a Crawley defeat tomorrow.

According to Vale Fan, Its 433, 2 holding Mids other Mid pushing on, 2 wide men linking with CF.

That pretty much mirrors what a guy associated with York said last night on radio tees. Worth a listen if you still can. It was all positive about Askey

assumed this would be a loss--still think it likely will be but a little more optimistic

If sweeney is influencing selection we may see the youth lad at right back for better or for worse.

Probably 1-1 too. It’s asking a lot for this team to suddenly start scoring loads of goals. Hope I’m completely wrong. Usually when a team gets a new manager everyone
Plays with a new impetus as the shackles are lifted. But this is Pools!

just wonder if dodds and featherstone will have recovered for the game. could be more of sweeneys choices in askeys preferred formation.

Sweeney will pick the team today i hope for 451.
Play Featherstone or Dolan as sweeper.
Play Kemp just behind Josh this lad has the skill to open up defences
Then as the game goes on i hope to see Sweeney talking on the touchline with Askey on the tactics as the game progresses.

as long as kemp gets space he can do a job with others creating space for him. newport certainly did a job on the lad tuesday night as he was in the game less and less as it went on making him as affective as the rest.

If they pick out one player to man mark it should free up space for others.

You would think they would have the respect when they announce the starting line up on twitter
They could say so and so out through injury.
