Missed today's game because I've got piggin' Covid.

First Sutton goal, same old same old, cross from the left, Killip stays rooted to his line... Er no, it's the new lad.

Second is equally soft, a long clearance from their keeper, Murray and Lacey get in each other's way going for the same ball (cough) ... Dolan and Pruti get in each other's way.

Anyway, the two Pools' goals are crackers!

I like the sarcasm and yes your thinking the same as the rest of us. What was that film called oh yes Groundhog Day. Why would anybody do the same thing every week. Yes I’m still annoyed.

we just cant seem to get our defensive unit right - even with the new additions we are technically still miles off for me.

I think the Arsenal lad needs to start tomorrow night

fergie is also having an absolute stinker - not sure what is up with him as hes doing what he did at Blackpool, has a really good few seasons then goes shite

We need to stop changing personnel and formations as soon as possible. The benefits of having a consistent squad and formation was amply demonstrated by Sutton - individually most of their players weren't great, but they were sh8thouses who knew what they had to do and what their mates were doing.

Although to be fair, six of Pools starting line up have only been with us a month or less in the case the goalee, Finney, Kemp and Jennings. We need a settled back four but we just cant ever seem to achieve this due to injuries. Obviously, Sutton were going to be a stiff test and so it turned out. The sending off was a real stroke of luck cos without it, we were facing certain defeat probably by a few goals. Sutton were a well oiled machine whereas Pools are still being bolted together.

One thing evident for me on Saturday was how slow and predictable our midfield is as shown by the young lads in defence.
Dodds ,pruti, and even foran ran at them with the ball and created space.
KC needs to look at Dolan and Nicky jesus they are so slow and lacking in ideas.
Trusty is like Laurent needs time to develop how ever we do not have time.
As for Sutton they are just thugs.

Dodds and Foran are a breath of fresh air as far as Pools are concerned they would of walked into this side last year and dare i say the year before that... not many players we have had through the door since our return to the football league have really been worth shouting home about... we all thought Bogle was just that but then he turned a corner... well into it and crashed a think !

Dolan has got worse as a footballer over the years - Newport sticking him at CB for so long has dismantled his game and made him a shitty CM. Plus he looks overweight for some reason but thats just my own opinion.

Feaths- needs to be gone ill say no more (as much as i dont want the team to be juggled about on the regular its about time we found his replacement or someway of not playing him)

Trusty was a panic loan - the same type of shite we get towards the end of the window. The less we see of him the better. KC seems to rate him over a ball winning box to box Sylla - i can only think Sylla is facing some sort of internal club punishment off KC for the altercation he had with Mayo a few weeks back

Problems all over the pitch.
But ye midfield must be worst in the EFL.
Gets by passed by every team n creates jack shit for our Frontline.
Basically a NLN team trying to operate in the EFL.
Still a major miracle required even when we win at Crewe.

It's early days for all the new lads, but Pools look to have finally found themselves an effective attacking midfielder in Dan Kemp. Great that Foran looked the part in his first 30 minutes in a Pools shirt, but if Peter Hartley is fit for tonight I'd have money on him going straight back into the side. By all accounts he played well in the win at Doncaster, and it's difficult not to see him getting his nut on that clearance from the keeper that led straight to Sutton's second goal.

what i have seen over this season is that the opposition sides seem to get more players behind the ball than pools do and give far less space in the box. people bang on about the midfield not creating much going forward, well i,d like to know where they are when we are defending. makes me wonder more that our best tackler in mid field sylla is out of the team.
