Over the last 8 seasons, 46 points has been enough to be ok on 6 occasions - unfortunately our relegation season was one of the two when it wasn't enough.
So hopefully 46 points would be OK this season - but that means we need another 24 points from 18 games = 8 wins or 7 and 3 draws = big ask on current form.
So whatever happens between now and 11pm on Tuesday will determine our fate.

I'm afraid I dont think there is much hope, It's us and Rochdale going down.

We are fucked our Feb and March fixture list is tough
Donny away is one of our best chances of 3 points on paper…let’s see how that goes

Donny got hammered 4-1 at Mansfield today so a nice easy fixture against Pools will be perfect for recovering their form. No reason for optimism.

need some luck when we play the better sides who are catching up on games and the managers resting a few weay bones when they play us. just live in hope of one shock away win to put more confidence in the squad. just ordered my new unicorn and a flying pig though.

With the Goalkeeping problem sorted we could be capable of going on a winning streak.
Last week put a massive spanner in the works.
Just hopeing n praying its not to late to resolve.
UTP.

The keeper just looked the part, he stood out looking confident and commanding his area, but the midfield needs tweaking.

He’s been in to discuss terms as League rules don’t apply to him. I fear the worst though as his training on the farm is to go for foxes danglers or shaking rats by the neck till their brains turn to rice pudding…which may be a bit controversial on the pitch.
If he ‘tackles’ and the player goes down, they’ll stay down.…..his post ache stance of standing on his prey…ooops,…..er, victim with his front paws and looking smug won’t endear him to the ref.
I suspect seizing the ball with your teeth and deflating it with ease may also be frowned on.

He played the young lad from Blackpool again, how did he perform because he hardly made a difference last week.

like a lot of young lads he played and was involved in flashes. really you cannot expect more as its a big jump to league football from the loan teams he was with. might look better in a side not struggling and doing their best to to scrape as many points possible to survive.

just thinking about these points required. do think the picture will be clearer when those around us have played catch up with the games inhand they have.

Big improvement and at least we where looking like a league 2 side not a northern league one. So the positives, our keeper, very commanding and confident. The defence
Better in the 2nd half in particularly Hartley. However, he is a bit reckless and has an error in him. Then again big adjustment coming out of the Indian league to us. Still think the defence was not as tight as I want us to be although much better than we have seen. The best teams defences do not give the opposition much space at all. Defending tight and in numbers. The midfield was better but stiil not on the front foot as much as we should be. We let Donny have most of the ball and better teams would have exploited us. Still Rome wasn’t built in a day and we have something to build on. The Lancashire lad for me is not up to league 2 standard and we haven’t got too much time to carry him. The goal from Dodds was premier league class. I predict he will go along way. As they say take every game as it comes, learn from your errors quickly and keep moving forward. Confidence, energy, commitment and passion are everything. So all in all well done Pools and Curle and those fantastic supporters who never stopped singing and shouting. Your voices where heard.

How did Jennings get away with it yesterday, Knocked seven colors out of thier defenders.
And made most of it look accidental, Really got stuck in.

The pass to Dodds from Umerah was a peach.

hopefully he sticks around should we stay up as he will be some player this time next year with a full season under his belt at this level !

hate it when pools players play really well regularly. you know their time with us will be limited. all league 2 teams are selling teams but pools are the give away club.

That’s bad enough but it’s really rubbing salt in the wound when we give gift tokens and the football version of green shield stamps……Green Field Stamps. Ouch!
