Once again it's all dependant on the team that's picked. If he goes with the usual " undroppable" we are stuffed but with a couple we all seem to agree on in and some new blood we have a chance????

So I'm predicting ?-?

crowd 6,199
1,003 Poolies

Just play players who play on the front foot and have energy and pick your defence on players who have self awareness around them and communicate the fact to any colleagues who are not with it. At this point of the season and the situation we are in it’s about players who are focussed and want to put a full shift in. Too many shirkers in the team at the moment the fans want energy, enthusiasm and endeavour . The three Ees!

heart says a 1 nil win with pools booed off the pitch by the rovers fans due to their attitude. head says curle will play as many of the old players as possible with a 2-1 defeat after leading for 60 minutes. just need a good reason to make the effort to go.

id like to think the new lads can inspire us to a win... although my heart says typical Pools and we get beat 2-0...

not all to be lost though and i wont be judging anyone just yet... give them time to gel and all that...but we must must hit the ground running next time out. But then again this is KC we talking about so god knows - might even see Sterry upfront for a bit

I am just wondering how the heck you integrate that many new faces, work on a game plan and sort out a starting line up in three days? I fear the team may play like strangers so I cant see us not losing this. Hoping to be proved wrong.

whats this game plan thing. if the old squad was a well oiled machine i could agree but the carlisle and colchester games they looked lost bereft of attacking ideas and flair. need to get brave and take risks sometimes with players. we have risked it with some garbage in the team all season.

This is curles team now so he should know what his tactics will be using current and new players.
I get the premise that teams need to gel how ever football is an easy game just pass the ball to the player with the same shirt on as you and carry out your instructions the manager gives you.
There is no excuses now we are either good enough or we aint its that simple.

i have not played a game for nearly 30 years now but if i was still fit i could play a game for a bunch of stangers i have never know .its this mistique about the game brought in by managers and pundits that attempt to con us how difficult the game is when anyone who has played know well it is not.

It's a tough one. Bringing in this many players can upset the natural rhythm of a squad, if anything we have signed too many players and the chairman is if anything too keen to keep us in the league, if anything. The players will need a bit of time to gel but if we don't reach the playoffs now I'll be bitterly disappointed. The proof is in the pudding. In saying that I'll go 2-4 to Pools the only disappointment being the nature of the goals we conceded. One from a set piece as usual and the other an overhead kick from Killip into the top corner from the edge of the D as he tries to deal with his centre backs not dealing with a straightforward ball over the top.

What rhythm, the previous team was woeful, surely with these new lads they have got to be better? Surely?

If Flapper starts Today then KC will be majorly shitting on our fans our chairman and Leicester.

The wrong team selection could be a recipe for violence.
I sincerely hope my prediction is wrong.

If the Flapper starts today we can only assume he’s been taking hypnosis lessons to secure his place……if he has can he try it on the fans behind the goal so they think he had a great game.
‘Look into my eyes, you are feeling sleeeeeeeepy’ Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz…mind you he might have been trying it out in the mirror and hypnotised himself?

I think Snowy is right, it would be hard to predict a result without knowing the team. My advice would be, do as we did as kids and all chase the ball and remember to have a rush goalie. We played games, like, 25-20 and had a wonderful childhood kicking the ball about in the street when there were no cars.

No Sylla or Umerah (assume umerah either injured or some Curle hijinks ala Mansfield)

Hartley over the Arsenal academy lad beggars belief though, what’s the over under on needless fouls vs motivational hand claps before he goes off ?

It never was, you don’t support Pools to sing we are the Champions every season.
I suspect Masochism was invented at the Vic, but …… that comes with the territory

A big of a snoozefest first half without a chance either end worth mentioning. That said, Pools look a much stronger unit and the new goalie is about 8 foot!
