At Hull on Tuesday he wants to play the following.

Provett,
Williams, Nelson, Clark, Liddle,
Maidens, Turnbull (S), Sweeney,
Porter
Brown and Rae (bring him back from blue star he;s been netting for them - a kid in a rough league)

and tell the new ones brought in - all ex youth notice - that they are playing for a place on staurday and let's fookin see what a bit of wanting to play rather than expecting to fookin play can do and lets see who wants to wear that new odd strip.

howay young uns pull us out of this shite.

Don't  at me. rage

No it's not straw clutching - it is trying to find players who have the desire (and talent) to play for this club - Rae may only be seventeen but he's bit a bit like a Mr Buller and will I'm sure cause a nuisance of himself and get the goals. Turnbull and Maidens seemed ok in patches last season too.

Remember it's not straw clutchting it's desire hunting - I just don't think some of them are arsed anymore and it's time to see if those that were blooded last year can make use of that and remember it and try and build themselves a place in the team.

It seems as though some of the board members have embraced the players' apathy - feeling all sorry for themsleves and not coming up with any solutions other than sack him, him and him and get rid of them.

For whatever reasons we signed a few players, two who seem to have yet proved any real consistent quality.

It is now to late to sign anyone and we must regroup and look at the full list of people available to play and see if they want and can play.

What fool compares the desite to win the lottery to getting the most out of a bunch of keen young kids - anyway they're men now - rather than fartin around with a tried tested and failed formula that's there now :?:

I dislike Boston's manager Steve Evans generally, but I admired his response to the interviewer about their predicament after losing up here. He said he was determined to get back on the training ground and work harder on the things they were not doing properly - it may work or it may not work, but he was adamant that he would make the players perform better.
That is the attitude we need - the players and management must accept they are not doing the basics properly and address the situation in training. I suspect that the management up until now have been reluctant to "insult" the players with some basic ball skills work, but it needs to be done because they are not displaying any basic ball skills on a Saturday afternoon.
People like Matty Robson have a 100% success rate in mis-hitting EVERY shot, pass and cross and giving away the ball to the opposition. This is inexcusable. If he can't improve this in training he isn't going to be able to do it during a match. Work it out Wilson FFS.

I agree rockerfella, I want them up and down those sand dunes at Crimdon, what left of em, working harder than hard, i want them running into brick walls, i want them to LEARN HOW TO FOOKIN SHOOT FOR FOOK SAKE - I can understand a lack of desire to shoot if there is derision all round if you miss, but it shouldn;t be that hard at that level to get a little bit close to the goal.

As the nucleus of the cardiff squad is still at this club this is embarrassing. I wouldnt have minded getting laughed out of the championship but the way things are going we are going to get laughed out of the league.

The players AND THE MANAGER need to get there heads together starting on Tuesday and remember that footy is fun to play if they play it properly and try hard - but win win win win win win

Nelson's the only truly consistent player we've had in the last 4 years.

yeah but how many of the side that played regularly in the cardiff season started the game yesterday? from my squad photo of the 2004-2205 season i can only see dimi, nelse, matty and sweeney. and i dont think you could question the attitude of nelse, matty or sweens yesterday. which brings me back to the original point. its the players we have signed since we peaked that imo are presenting the problem. they simply are not up to the job.

hang on.make your mind up.in another thread you are blaming wilson.which ones has he signed that are at fault

i didnt say they started.....but they are still around ...for now.

you forgot about robson.and gav strach.. but still here in total are dimi, barron, matty, nelse, strachan, sweeney, humpty(altho on loan), joel, tinks, effi, daly and prov. thats only four out of a squad of 16 left - westy, boyd, butler and craddock. from heroes to zeroes - not asking for anyone to leave, more confused as to why.

since he established himself i havent seen ben clark have too many bad games. i also think joel has been a good signing. he did get player of the year in his last injury free season. along with nelson they have proved to be 3 very good signings. cheap as chips as well.
Joel was getting grief when he first signed and it went on for months. As for Wilsons signings, liddle looks a good signing, but Boland and Gibb whilst not 100% fit have only been here for three weeks, hardly time to condemn them, criticise them when they're fit if they deserve to be, but not now. Every signing is a risk and some of the players we've signed took time to come good, joel being a prime example. So let's say we extend that opportunity to everyone eh, new players and new managers included!

these players were either free agents or signed for someone at the beginning of the season
it is their job to be fit they have to be to ply their trade
if they are not fit then no one else is to blame but themselves
if DW is playing unfit players then he takes the consequences
i thought we had a reputation as being a very fit team ?

It was to some of us.

But loads of folk around where I stand in the ground would have had him on the next plane back to Crim-land with his tail between his legs and there was a general messageboard clamour for him to be sent packing too.

But why let facts get in the way when they might place a good witch-hunt in doubt eh?

What's the plan for the next home game? You all gonna turn up en masse with burning torches and hang Wilson, Robson and Darren Williams (and whoever else you decide to unfairly massacre this week) from trees?

The abuse that we send out is to the opposition and the officials.

Occassionally one of our own may get it if they are not putting any effort in but to me that is fair game if they just wanna turn up and mince around the pitch for an hour and a half.

I don't care.

I don't see what all of the fuss is about.

It just seems that Diddle is being used as an escape goat for the mass hysteria being drummed up by some in here in readiness for their torch burning gathering.
