Last nights match brought the Killip question to the boiling point for me.
His playing ‘style’ is the odd eye catching save or block, which impresses the easily impressed, but there’s no disguising the fact his overall game is disjointed to the point of madness.
One super save does not compensate for the catalogue of blunders that accompany his contribution on the field and last night was a master class on his failings.
Goal kicks going out directly, staying on his line as though welded to the spot, his indecision at coming for balls and a talent for spilling the ball and this has went on for years yet still he has his defenders.
There are other problems on the field, but this is one that never gets addressed, yet it is a glaring, slap you in the face with a dead cod, fault line in the team.
We also have to consider his defence constantly looking over their shoulders, because he has never commanded his box in my opinion and if defenders doubt their keeper you are well and truly shafted as it’s a recipe for chaos.
The fact this state of affairs has went on for far too long is beyond credibility and needs remedying immediately, yet for some reason he has sacred cow status, but we really can’t afford it any longer.
Wake up.

I've said for years Killip is crap. I didn't like him at Braintree, saved Nobles Penalty and we buy him season after. However, every time I said and say he's crap. People look at me and tell me I'm pissed and crazy.

Surely played his way out of the team last night, lost count how many blunders he's made this season and it needs changing. Every cross into the box is a heart in the mouth moment!

Agree with Snowy, he looked dodgy from his very first game. Remember Hignett blaming pressure of playing in front of bigger crowds. Historically Pools have always been successful with good keepers - Watling, Harper, Poole, Dimi etc. Even when Challinor was here he brought in Mitchell Beaney who was no great shakes as he lost confidence in Killip. Think he has run his last race here.

hope so as enough is enough for any player. some say the other keepers he has seen off to be our no.1. that would not be difficult as we managed to find a few even worse.

Thank god we had young Brad in goal for the play off final.
A good day being totally undone by shopping at oxfam.

We wouldn’t have conceded the late goal in the play off final had Killip played. He’d have been standing on his line and would have caught the ball right in the middle of the goal, whereas young Brad had a massive rush of blood and charged out for a cross he was never going to get to. To suggest James is better than Killip is totally ridiculous.

Wouldn’t have been needed as Killip would have saved the equaliser!

The play off season is a bad example to use for Killip as before his injury was the best he’s been for pools.
I think he’s a good keeper but apart from the first month he’s been shocking this season. Will be interesting to see Stolarczyk on Saturday as he was 2nd choice at Fleetwood above Cairns who looked a class above in his one game here…

When Shelton left people just said yes hes a good NL player but not EFL quality.
To me Killip is the same, And i think even KC will give up on him.

The Keeper brought in from Leicester is Definately not here to warm the bench, If hes not playing saturday
I think He will be recalled quickly.

the ideal time to give the new keeper a game after being with us a week and seeing what he is about. if killip is chosen for this game then it could kick off some conspiracy theories about him.

cannot think of anything to dent a young keepers confidence is being thought of an understudy for killip.

A good point Mr Accrington. I wonder what the Leicester lad was thinking as he watched that shit show?

He was probably thinking, ‘If I make any kind of mistake on Saturday or don’t come for every single cross I’ll get fucking crucified on the Bunker!’

I think you’re being a bit silly. How could you possibly state for a fact he’d have saved it.
Also, even if he did save it, he’d no doubt have cocked up well before the end if we’re gonna be realistic….rooted to the line is his weakness…he commands the goal line ( in a fashion) when he should be commanding his box.

And deserve it…….if he’s playing we might as well get the metaphorical life jackets on and get in the lifeboat because we’re going down.
