Whenever times are hard and the going gets rough,
the little men with big mouths, start to do their stuff.
They rant and scream and give 'advice' and ruin players lives,
and after that strut back home for orders from their wives!
In every other walk of life, they act all mild and meek,
but then turn into gobshites, for two hours once a week.
Their knowledge is unrivalled, their opinions just flow,
but they only started going, five short years ago.

well, that's a pretty decent poem of Snowy's. But do the 'gobshites' behave like that only 2 hours a week? I can't believe that can be true of the guy at the middle back of the Millhouse stand who rants and raves like a man demented
I have fantasies of taking an enormous roll of sellotape and winding it round and round his head until he can't speak or breathe

What is this problem you have with recent fans Snowy? I started working in Hartlepool 20 years ago - & started taking some interest in the club, following results, league position etc. 10 years ago I moved to Hartlepool, took a greater interest in the team, but couldn't attend games 'cos I had 2 young kids,& an ex with good CSA connections so couldn't afford it. 6 years ago I could afford it & started attending regularly

Does that make me a 5 year fan? Does that make you superior & a "better fan"

I get sick of hearing this shit, I really do

We are all equal.

It doesnt matter wether you have been going 5 games,5 years or 50 years, you pay your hard earned money like anyone else and are therefore entitled to be as pithed off as you like.

Ive been going for 27 years but that doesnt make me any better or superior than someone who only started going last season.

You know as well as I do what I'm talking about, NO FAN IS BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE, but are these people fans or hypocrites?.... the people who were slagging off Pools as shite before our revival but suddenly leapt on the bus and became more Catholic than the Pope. First sign of a rough patch ( and come on, no one thought we were never gonna have them) they don't know how to cope when things don't go right. LIFES LIKE THAT, IT GOES TITS UP NOW AND THEN!!... it's not how you cope with success, it's how you cope with the setbacks that's the measure of the man. If people don't like this 'shite' ....tough !

It's not people having opinions that bugs me, it's the fact that they bellow their opinions in my ear. not to mention bellowing obscenities in the hearing of the players who (usually) are trying to perform. Some people in the Millhouse seem to me quite mentally unbalanced. That's why I can't believe they're like that only 2 hours a week!

Ok Mr Snowy I dont claim to know you.

But I know for a fact that you are very intelligent.

So I cannot for the life of me understand why you expect fans to behave in any other way than they did on saturday.

What is your opinion of the 3 thousand or so that wlaked out with 10 minutes to go?

Are they better than the ones that booed?

Are the ones that laughed and joked on their way out better than the ones upset?

People react in different ways.

When the game is going tits up, I can no longer stay seated in the CK stand. I just have to get to moaners corner in the town end.

Does that make me worse than the ones who left?

Do the ones shouting racist abuse in the Millhouse terrace deserve a better rating for not booing, than the ones who boo and leave before the end?

Oh, and I hate the way people talk about new fans.

Without them this club would be bankrupt.

And at least the "newbies" wont let the club sleep walk bac k to the bad old days without acting. OK they just wont come, but at least its action.

Unlike you and me, who will go regardless, and be taken for mugs by Hodcroft and green.

Confused I am, WHY are we being taken for mugs by Hodcroft and Green?

So getting slapped in the face (your words) by the chairman of the footy club you love, doesnt equate to being taken for a mug?

Not exactly,as we have discussed on a number of occasions on here that IOR and the chairman have their way of going about things and we have learned to accept it as part and parcel of their tenure(come to think of it non of the clubs owners told us everything).

Of course we don't always agree that this is par for the course but overall they do it their way and as owners that is up to them to either get it out in the open asap or hold back and tell when they feel is the right time(which they did of course).

This causes a lot of concern to the fans but as I say they have their way of going about things,so no I did not feel I was taken for a mug and anyway if the truth was known a lot of us already knew through the gossip about the embargo anyway.

What kind of bunkerite are you?

I must have laughed at myself too as I bought my 5. I did it for the same reason as every other season, to save money. Even knowing full well about the embargo as I would have only shot myself in the foot by making a protest and buying on a game to game basis.

Are you telling me you would not have bought if it was announced before your purchase.

As for being some kind of Bunkerite, then tar me with some of the well know bunkerites that told me about the embargo.

Yaawnnn....not the old 'I'm a better fan than you' argument, backed up by the old faithful 'I pay my money and I am entitled to have my opinion heard....' row.

If you go and watch Peter Kay, do you tell him how to write jokes?? Of course not. If you shop at Tesco's can you tell them what to stock?? No. Do you tell your dentist how to look after your teeth?? No. So how does paying at the turnstiles entitle you to have say in the running of the club?? You pays your money and takes your choice. No-one makes you go. I bet there's a good few Matty Robson wishes didn't go.

Due to the unique way Hartlepool United is funded you can either turn up or not. That's your choice, end of.

Bit stark innit??

Anybody who cares to read it.

We regurgitate the same old shit month after month. Christ, I'm supposed to be repetitive. These lot make me look like an Enigma machine. 'I've been going 'n' years and you're a newcomer in the last five years so don't tell me owt about Hartlepool United....'

'I spend a million quid a week in the club shop so Wilson/Hodcroft/Turner/Ted Wellie should listen to me....'

Here's a list of your entitlements:
1. You can turn up, scream your brains out for 90 mins and then go to another place of your choice.

2. Errrr....that's it. :? :sweet:

Personally I'm always telling my dentist how to look after my teeth. That's why I'm put out that Ken ignores my suggestions about the Club
