something i never expected at all yesterday but will take it. hope it gives confidence for the next lot of league games. do i want a big name club next round. not sure as the players may have n that and lose sight of the most important part of the next few weeks league points. woke up thinking of shrewsbury or sunderland away for some reason.

Well done The Pools and Hastie in particular. Good home draw against somebody beatable to get the cash in and then a biggy in the fourth round. Bring on The Stockport.

Why all this shout out for a big team only too be embarrassed by getting beat pby a load of goals, for me a team at our level or the division above winnable and and a few more bob in the bank then move to a bigger team in the next round.

Welcome to the club Jamie. Further up the thread you will see that's exactly what I wished for.

Missed it as was on page 1, as I said can’t see the point in getting a big club only to be humped which could affect the players confidence, yes a cup run is great but survival is more important.

The only flaw I can see in this cunning plan, is we get beat off a team at our level or the division above, so we don't get the big game in round 4. Much better to have the big game next in my opinion, give us something to look forward to after Christmas :)

We never get a good draw. You just know before they start it’ll be Forest Green or Grimsby away or if we do get a Premier league club it’ll be the likes of Fulham.

For once it would be nice to get a real money spinner. Liverpool, Manchester (either) or Newcastle away.

get as much as possible out of the 3rd round and then concentrate on the league without a big fixture backlog with our injury prone squad.

Manure away, win, then Newcastle away, Money in the bank, pay off the debt, buy some new players sneak into the play offs, win at Wembley. That's my Xmas wish, Miracles do happen ....Don't they?

Doesn't matter who we get, we won't see any of the money anyway. We didn't last season and we won't this. Might as well get grimsby at home and hope we beatthem again.

I think I've had enough of the lies and Bullshit now. If we wanted to do something as a football club, we had the perfect opportunity 18 months ago. What happened? Absolutely nothing.

Stoke are only 2 points outside the relegation zone in their own division. Will they even put out a full strength team at the Vic? See who we've got back fit in early January and there could be a decent chance of another 3rd Round upset.

pools have a chance. not the tue to get the town overexcited though. always think of stoke as the boro, one of those mid table championship sides that make up the numbers and you cannot see em going up or down.

There's gonna be some funny results when the World Cup break is over. Here's hoping this fixture is one of them.
Where's little diddy David??
