There was a competition?

Understand that Middlesbrough are a bigger club than us, but if you put on BBC Tees and they're playing its all Boro and Pools barely get a passing mention. Nothing against Middlesbrough but I don't really have a desire to tune into a station mostly about them. Same way I wouldn't listen to a station devoted to Wolverhampton, Stoke or Preston.

Had I known about this I might have entered. I know we historically don't call into Tees much but Poolies are active here, Facebook and Twitter. We have Twitter accounts with large followers like HUST and the NWC, so no excuse for Tees to not try and promote it before hand.

Perhaps the tickets would be a nice gift for a family whom don't have the cash to go to games this winter?

Could be worse. They had 2 tickets to give away for the Pizza cup game with Everton and some poor bugger took them.

Those phone ins are a borer love in. I listen to it on Monday night sat in the car when picking the wife up, when she finally appears……even Ratboy’s howling to turn it off.
We are just an afterthought who they feel obliged to go through the motions with.

The presenter even said that the answer was going to be the same as the last two Pools competitions ( Josh Umerah from memory ). Still couldn't tempt anyone. To be fair, they had rabbited on about Carrick joining the Boro for the majority of the programme bit even so, free tickets !!

The competition for the two free tickets for the Grimsby match is tonight on BBC Tees from 6-7pm.
It would be great if a Bunkerite would phone in and win them.
I regrettably have a prearranged social appointment. :liar:

The two main prizes are …..
1. Two tickets for the Grimsby Match.
Or…..
2. A night of erotic pleasure for two with ‘Polly Jolly and the the ‘Eston Over 80’s Senior Pole Dancing Collective’.

Instructions for how to get to Eston are on the website.

Match reports aside, listening to BBC Tees is like travelling back to the 70’s in a time machine to Beige World with middle of the road music and banal chat.

these stations are just a carbon copy of each other in everything they do. its just the local news, local weather and local sports teams that are different. fact of some presenters moving sideways from one to another shows em up for what they are.

Yep everyone has the same format, my dislike of Tees some of the daytime presenters are not originally from Teesside so have no local knowledge of the area.

BBC Local radio is I believe banned under the terms of the Geneva Convention.
