Just looked up the numbers from him playing to not playing. He's missed 8 games in all competitions and we've conceded 25. He's played 11 and we've conceded 12 including 4 clean sheets. Speaks volumes as to how important he is and how dire the others are!. Need him back asap.

quicker he is back the better. him being out seems to cause defensive selection problems where we lose 2 effective players and not just one.

According to the Mail, he wont be fit for tonight and neither will Sterry. Also sounds doubtful for Niang and Shelton. We already know Hamilton and Grey are out. So another threadbare team with inadequate defenders. Hard to be optimistic at the moment.

Was absolute suicide to only sign 3 centre backs and it's taking it's toll massively, especially when 2/3 are utter shit

if they were out through suspensions pools would have more points on the board. do other clubs get thiese long lists of injured players like pools.

All teams have injury lists by this stage of the season. Sod's law for Pools that most of the players that have been out are ones that fans are desperate to see in the side.

It's obvious that the manager feels the same way. Featherstone had only just begun proper training again but he was picked for the Swindon game. Sterry was only supposed to play 60 minutes against Harrogate but Curle left him on for the full 90. Now he's picked up a different injury. There's always a risk with rushing people back too soon, but it's understandable when the squad is so poor.

Mansfield have been playing a forward at CB for weeks, Carlisle have more Injuries than anyone.

More injuries than anyone yet they still strolled over us.

Yes been saying for months we can’t play Lacey and Murray in back 4 both shite. Murray so clearly out of his depth I almost feel sorry for him.

Can’t see anything other than another piping v Salford based on the team sheet

They both did ok last night, as did Tumilty. Killip was trying to blame Umerah for not cutting out the corner for Salford's first goal at the near post but it is 100% his own rick.

they did, but the problem is that other clubs have better in those positions. you just cannot have murray, lacey and killip in the same team. all three are just not big or strong enough in this league.

Lacey and Murray ain't quick enough either. Pools are really vulnerable to fast breaks from the opposition. Really missing Odusina's pace compared with last season - especially while Menayese is out.

that was his only attribute for me his pace. no better than the two amigo,s in general play especially defending corners and set pieces. we conceeded a few from his weak challenges.

Who do you suggest Curle plays in those positions.

Rob Law & Eddie Kyle were quite complementary about pools performance last night.

opposite of chandy and boydie. apart from their first goal we were decent even though we never looked like getting the equaliser. so many players in the side you just cannot see ever scoring a goal again. suppose a neutral would feel sorry for us as we played the better football but games are not decided on which team entertains the most.

any idea when Menayse will be back?
we are fucked without him as will always concede at least 1 stupid goal.....better luck finding a clean sheet in a Brothel than with our defence.

Keith Curle hates to give the opposition any clues about who he might have available for selection - not that his reticence has made any difference to recent results.

He got Featherstone back into the team earlier than expected so it's safe to assume as soon as Meyanese can jog round the pitch he'll be back in
